We Must Defeat the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt

Christians in Egypt
The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization that opposes the idea of Western-style democratic government in Egypt and the greater Middle East, and through its efforts to infiltrate and influence the U.S. government represents an existential threat to the United States.

Remarkably, even though this threat is well-known and well-understood by the policy makers at the Pentagon and our intelligence agencies, President Obama and his enablers on Capitol Hill, such as Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham, are about to pull the rug out from under the leaders of Egypt’s popular uprising in an effort to hand power back to a terrorist movement that has declared its eternal opposition to America and Western values.

As Newt Gingrich said of those who minimize the danger of Muslim Brotherhood influence in the U.S. government; “The level of self-deception necessary to misunderstand the Muslim Brotherhood verges on a psychosis.”

Gingrich went on to point out that the Muslim Brotherhood’s motto is “Allah is our objective. The Prophet is our leader. The Quran is our law. Jihad is our way. Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.”

To further bolster his case that the establishment elite, such as Obama, McCain and Graham, discount the Muslim Brotherhood’s own words, and refuse to take them seriously, Gingrich also cited a 1991 Muslim Brotherhood document called the “Explanatory Memorandum.”

“The Explanatory Memorandum” explains to Muslim Brotherhood supporters that the organization’s goal is “a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying Western Civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion [Islam] is made victorious over all other religions.”

The reality of this goal has been seen on the ground in Egypt and on the TV news practically every day since Morsi’s ouster.

According to The New York Times, a Coptic Christian group, the Maspero Youth Union, recorded at least six deaths and the destruction of at least 38 churches, as well as attacks on at least 23 more since the army moved against Morsi.

The Times reports an activist with the group, Beshoy Tamry, primarily blamed Islamist leaders for “charging their followers with hate” and trying to destabilize the country by attacking its weakest citizens.

This violence against Christians is being incited by the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist groups.

However, that doesn’t seem to give pause to McCain, Graham and Obama.

If we understand them correctly, even though a popular uprising in Egypt threw-out an anti-American aligned with a radical Islamist terrorist organization, and even though those Islamist terrorists are using the ouster of President Morsi as an excuse to target Christians, they think the terrorists should be let out of jail and our government should cut off aid to the new pro-western Egyptian government that was put in power through the popular revolt.

That makes no sense.

McCain, Graham and Obama are doing neither America nor Egypt a favor by demanding the return to power of the Muslim Brotherhood-led government of Mohamed Morsi.

One of our strategic policy goals since 911 has been (or should have been) to create a counterweight to radical Islam by selling Western ideas of personal liberty and democracy in the Muslim world.

Now Obama, McCain and Graham are about to throw away a significant victory in what will be a long war with the jihadis of the Muslim Brotherhood and radical Islam.

By rejecting a radical Islamic government headed by the Muslim Brotherhood, the Egyptian people are doing a great job figuring out what kind of a society they want and taking a small step toward embracing one based on Western concepts of freedom.

That’s a win for us and a major defeat for radical Islam.

Simply leaving things alone and continuing things as they were before the change in government is our best and maybe only opportunity to defeat the Muslim Brotherhood and keep on our side the majority of Egyptians who wish for an open Western-style society.

Obama and his enablers in Congress, such as McCain and Graham, should not throw away a win in the war against radical Islam by cutting-off aid or otherwise putting American influence behind Morsi and those radical Islamist elements in Egypt who, in their own words, are committed to eliminating and destroying Western Civilization.

We have no business there. We are separated by thousands of miles of ocean, so why is this even a consideration? These warmongers are starting trouble, plain and simple, and using the flag of Jesus against the Muslimites' as their calling card. Fact is, even the Christian majority has a hard time swallowing this latest lie to kill their children, it would hurt their numbers at a time when no young people go to church. Drive by a church and the sign says, "Attack The Middle East for Christ", and half the congregation looks elsewhere for spiritual guidance. The church next door that says, "free pizza if you listen to our spiel for 15 minutes," gets the customers.

McCain/Graham/Obama should be tried for treason as sabatorers

I don'think that the 3 above should have any position in our goverment. McCain is a flip-flopper- he has'nt really been any real benefit to our country since his tenture in the White Hiuse..
As far as Obama he never was a present as far as leading our nation. Out with him! ! !

Muslim Brotherhood

We all know that Obama is a Muslim puppet and McCain was obviously brainwashed during his captivity in North Vietnam, but I think Graham is just plain stupid. At any rate, they will do all they can to get the Brotherhood back in power and nobody will do anything to stop them.
If they do cut off aid to the current leaders in Egypt, I plan to include, with next year's income tax forms, a check made out to the current leaders rather than the Treasury (just so they know where I stand)!
