CHQ Endorses Greg Brannon For Senate In North Carolina

Greg Brannon

We’ve thought long and hard about whom to back in the North Carolina Republican Primary for the US Senate and we’ve concluded that Dr. Greg Brannon is the most well-rounded conservative in the race.

Brannon, a Cary obstetrician, has the backing of Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee, Freedom Works, the National Association For Gun Rights, Gun Owners of America, The Tea Party Patriots Citizens Fund and a host of the Tar Heel State’s grassroots economic and social conservatives.

Brannon is right on spending, right on life and right on the Constitution as the law that governs government. Most importantly Dr. Brannon has a long association with the grassroots Tea Party movement and, in addition to being right on the issues we care about, he can be counted on to rock the boat in Washington and actually fight to win when those issues come before the Senate.

The establishment candidate in the race, North Carolina House Speaker Thomas Tillis, has the endorsement of the usual State House special interest vampires who would like him to continue to bestow special favors on them once he gets to Washington.

He also has the backing of former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and the coterie of Bush acolytes, such as Karl Rove and his American Crossroads that have done so much damage to the GOP brand over the years.

However, there is one good thing about the Bush endorsement of Tillis; we now know for sure what we will get if Thom Tillis goes to Washington – support for the Bush agenda of amnesty for illegal aliens, Common Core and the continuation of the cronyism that has driven federal spending to the crisis level of a $17 trillion (and growing) federal debt.

We see in Dr. Greg Brannon the same mix of brains, conservative principles and willingness to fight the special interests that we see in Senators Rand Paul and Mike Lee. If North Carolina Republicans want to take back the Senate and govern America according to conservative principles we urge them to vote for Dr. Greg Brannon in next Tuesday’s Republican Senate Primary.
