Sarah Palin and Joe Carr Fight for American Workers, Oppose Amnesty

Joe Carr & Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin and Joe Carr, the principled limited government constitutional conservative candidate in Tennessee’s Republican Senate primary, are two of the few public figures* fighting the real Obama-caused crisis the invasion of our southern border is creating – the economic crisis illegal aliens are causing for American workers and their children who will enter the job market in the future.

Carr has relentlessly attacked incumbent establishment Republican Senator Alexander for his vote in favor of amnesty, regularly pointing out the devastating effect amnesty will have on Tennessee’s hard pressed working families.

"Lamar Alexander's support of amnesty paved the way for our current border crisis and is a direct attack on America's workers," said Carr.  "Tennessee's working families have a right to know whether Lamar Alexander will continue his support of amnesty.  It is unacceptable for Tennessee's senior Senator to remain silent on this growing national crisis that his support of amnesty helped cause. Lamar needs to come out of hiding and explain himself."

Earlier this week, it was reported by Breitbart News that Sen. Alexander was warned last year that "thousands of unaccompanied children, runaways, and families now attempt to illegally enter the United States in hopes of receiving legalization. This trend will surely continue after enactment as S. 744, which provides no commitment of stronger border enforcement for at least five to ten years."

Carr added, "Lamar's amnesty solution rewards lawlessness, attacks the sovereignty of our country and most tragically, penalizes the American worker with an oversupply of unskilled labor in an economy that is producing little jobs and no growth.  As this nation's crisis has unfolded, Lamar Alexander has been silent.  Senator Alexander refuses to accept responsibility for his role in this reckless and misguided support of amnesty has played in jeopardizing the security of our border and the lives lost by those hoping to benefit from his amnesty solution.  The people of Tennessee deserve answers and we deserve them from Lamar Alexander."

In the words of our friend Tony Lee over at Breitbart former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin “has always been the North Star for exurban voter and blue-collar American workers of all backgrounds, especially conservatives who call themselves "independent" or "unaffiliated" because of their disdain for the GOP establishment.”

Palin is an early and effective opponent of amnesty. She has often said that amnesty legislation would "decimate" Main Street and lower the standard of living for American workers of all ethnicities and backgrounds, which the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office also determined.

Palin, says Lee, echoes the voice of blue-collar workers who sit at home when establishment "Wall Street" Republicans are nominated, said the amnesty "issue is just about driving me to renounce my Republican ties because, see, even leaders on the RIGHT side of the aisle haven’t exerted all Constitutional power to stop the madness."

"A few have tried, but until they’re sent reinforcements, then atrocities like the child abuse and exploitation you’re now getting wind of will only get worse," she said in a recent Facebook note.

Joe Carr is one Republican who will go to Washington and fight to “stop the madness.” It’s time to send Lamar Alexander and the stringpullers in Washington another message like the one Virginia’s grassroots Republican voters sent Eric Cantor – vote Joe Carr in Tennessee’s August 7, 2014 Republican primary election.
