For Cantor, quitting early doesn’t look good. Cantor gave up his majority leader job July 31, a sensible move, as a lame-duck. But then he immediately announced he wouldn’t serve as a rank-and-file member. It confirms the grassroots skepticism about Congress being full of self-dealers. Cantor is sure to land a high-paying job.
