CONSERVATIVE ACTION ALERT: Secure America Now Features CHQ #47Patriots In Social Media Campaign

Secure America Now has launched a new social media campaign featuring the article #47Patriots by CHQ Editor George Rasley. The campaign, in support of the 47 Republican Senators who wrote an open letter to Iran's leaders, is intended to built grassroots support for the the 47 who are being attacked mercilessly in the media for opposing an agreement that puts Iran on course to build a nuclear weapon, and is being negotiated in secret in flagrant violation of ARTICLE II, SECTION 2, CLAUSE 2 of the Constitution that requires the President to submit treaties to the Senate for its advise and consent. We urge you to support Sen. Tom Cotton and the rest of the patriots who oppose the radical Islamists of Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon by using the hashtag #47Patriots in social media, letters to the editor and calls to talk radio to educate your fellow Americans about the existential danger a nuclear armed radical Islamist Iran poses to America and the West.

#47 Senators

Obama wants a legacy? He will always be remembered as the President who gave Iran the "bomb".

A thank you for the 47 Patriots

To the 47 Patriots

We wish to thank the forty-seven Republican Senators who signed the letter to Iran's Theocracy. We are grateful that your communique may have foiled an impulse of the President to misrepresent an undergirding tier of Constitutional governance, which states, "The President... shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur...." (Article II, Section 2, Clause 2)

Since it would likely qualify as a "treaty", the Constitution of the United States clearly prohibits the President from unilaterally validating any agreement regarding Iran's nuclear capabilities, it's plausibility notwithstanding. As you know, the terms being negotiated are patently risky to the security of Mainland America and our allies abroad. But an agreement, a "treaty," would be unenforceable unless ratified by at least sixty-seven Senators.

We would suggest that your letter may have also refreshed a teetering confidence in a Congress to date dominated by an administration seemingly bent on corrupting our nation's security for the sake of redeeming the troubled legacy of President Barack Obama. This bold move could perhaps renew hope for a constituency bitterly disappointed in a Republican leadership seemingly loath to challenge this reckless President, in spite of the sweeping mandate of Election Day '14, to stop Obama.

We want to Thank You

Thank you to the 47 patriotic Senators

I wish to add my thinks to the 47 that were involved in the writing of the above mentioned letter. I am glad to see that there are at least a few that have the spine to stand up and resist this peoson that wants to be the ruler of our country. Any agreement that has not been ratified by the Senate is, in my mind, illegal and without effect. I get so mad at this Republican Party in name only that I no longer call myself a Republican. There are a few in the party that act as if they have backbones but they seem to be few and far between. I support those that were involved in the writing of the above mentioned letter and I am gratefull for their service to our country.
