Planned Parenthood Can’t Escape Their Own Words

Over the summer, the Center for Medical Progress released eight undercover videos that reveal the true nature of Planned Parenthood and its partners. As our friends at Eagle Forum put it so well, the videos show Planned Parenthood “clearly trying to wring every dollar it can out of every abortion it performs, undermining its claim to be a ‘non-profit women’s health organization’.”

Planned ParenthoodPlanned Parenthood’s only response is to claim that the Center for Medical Progress videos are heavily edited.

One research firm hired by Planned Parenthood, FusionGPS, says that the Center for Medical Progress “manipulated” the videos.  The Weekly Standard reports that Fusion GPS is “an opposition research firm with ties to the Democratic party” with “a history of harassing socially conservative Republican donors.”

“A thorough review of these videos in consultation with qualified experts found that they do not present a complete or accurate record of the events they purport to depict,” The New York Times, reports that an analysis by FusionGPS found.

According to The Times, the analysis found “substantive omissions” in both the short clips and the full videos that the Center for Medical Progress has released, and that “the manipulation of the videos” means that “they have no evidentiary value in a legal context and cannot be relied upon for any official inquiries.”

Planned Parenthood has turned their findings over to congressional investigators in the hopes of avoiding further investigation of their undeniable trafficking in human baby parts.

While essentially ignoring the entire scandal, the mainstream media has dutifully reported the conclusions of the “research” firm – and those claims are all many of your friends, neighbors, fellow church members, and colleagues will hear about Planned Parenthood.

Please pass this along to encourage people to view the full videos here so they can learn the truth about Planned Parenthoods ghoulish practice of trafficking in human baby parts.

As a recent Eagle Forum release put it, “video editing cannot create the clear hunger for profit or the condescension from the executive when discussing lab techs who aren’t desensitized enough to handle fetal parts.”

And while the videos are clipped for waiting periods between meetings and bathroom breaks, there’s no way to manipulate the video of tiny hands and feet being sifted or the laughter from the executives about prices high enough to buy a Lamborghini.

“While even Planned Parenthood’s ‘experts’ found ‘no evidence of audio manipulation’ in the recordings, it is telling that Planned Parenthood is trying so hard to pretend that their staff did not refer to a dismembered fetus as ‘a baby’ and ‘another boy,’” David Daleiden, the Center for Medical Progress’s project lead for its Human Capital series said in a statement responding to Planned Parenthood’s release of the “findings” by FusionGPS.

“The absence of bathroom breaks and waiting periods between meetings does not change the hours of dialogue with top-level Planned Parenthood executives eager to manipulate abortion procedures to get high-quality baby parts for financially profitable sale,” Daleiden said.

It’s easy to counter the liberals trying to absolve Planned Parenthood of its potential crimes: listen to what Planned Parenthood’s employees in the videos actually say.

As David Daleiden’s recent statement noted:

Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards makes two key admissions today in Planned Parenthood’s letter to Congress: that Planned Parenthood gets paid $60 per baby body part harvested, and that Planned Parenthood doctors alter their abortion procedures to get higher-quality body parts. Both of these admissions speak to Planned Parenthood’s financial benefit and profit motive for supplying fetal tissue, and both are the points CMP’s videos have documented and illustrated from the very beginning. When a Tissue Procurement Organization handles all dissection, packaging, and shipping of fetal organs, and all Planned Parenthood does is spend 10 minutes consenting a patient, the $60 per body part harvested quickly adds up to illegal baby parts profit for Planned Parenthood. And when a Planned Parenthood doctor manipulates the abortion to get higher-quality baby parts, they are prizing Planned Parenthood’s financial interests ahead of women’s health.*

You can use this link to reach a video created by our friends at Eagle Forum that collects some of the lowlights excerpted from the footage released throughout the summer, and lets the abortionists and their political defenders speak for themselves.

We urge you call your senators and representative, the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044, to demand they see the Planned Parenthood videos.  Then, please sign our letter to Congress demanding that the Republican leadership actually follow through and conduct an investigation of Planned Parenthood's human organ and tissue trafficking rather than engage in their usual “go nowhere” political posturing and tell them to stop funding for Planned Parenthood as soon as Congress returns in September.
