Far Left Anti-Trump NSA Leaker Arrested

In a criminal complaint filed in the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Georgia, 25-year-old Reality Leigh Winner, a federal contractor, was charged with violating 18 U.S.C. Section 793(e), by gathering, transmitting or losing defense information.

According to the charging affidavit, Winner allegedly admitted printing a copy of classified intelligence and spirting the copy out of a secure government facility and mailing the copy to an unnamed "online News Outlet." CNN LeakerShe also allegedly admitted that she knew the contents of the reporting could be used to the injury of the United States and to the advantage of a foreign nation.

According to CNN’s Pete Williams, Ken Dilanian and Tom Winter, the "online News Outlet" was The Intercept, and the leaked information described new details about Russian efforts to hack voting systems in the U.S a week prior to the 2016 presidential election.

While the document doesn’t say the hacking changed any votes, it "raises the possibility that Russian hacking may have breached at least some elements of the voting system, with disconcertingly uncertain results."

The Intercept is a digital news outlet that specializes in national-security reporting, and according to The Atlantic’s Matt Ford, just hours before the Justice Department’s announcement, the Intercept published an article shedding more light on Russian hacking efforts against local U.S. election officials ahead of the November election last year.

Included in the article says Ford was a top-secret, five-page report by the National Security Agency describing the Russian efforts. The Intercept said the report was dated May 5, 2017, and that it provided “most detailed U.S. government account of Russian interference in the election that has yet come to light.”

CNN also reports Winner is a contractor with Pluribus International Corporation, authorities said. She had been employed at the facility since on or about February 13, and held a Top Secret clearance.

But that’s not the most interesting part of the story of Ms. Winner’s alleged leaks.

As our friends at the Gateway Pundit have documented through her social media postings, Ms. Winner is a committed Far-Left environmental and anti-Trump activist.

From her Facebook page Jim Hoft reports Reality likes: Animal Rights, The Daily Show, Bill Maher, Michael Moore and the Trump bashing “Trump Draws” Facebook page.

According to reporting by Cristina Laila, Winner called Donald Trump a “piece of sh*t” in a February post on the Dakota Access Pipeline in North Dakota and is documented on Twitter to have called President Trump a C*nt.

She also showed her disdain for President Trump when she shared a post about Swedish politicians ‘trolling Trump admin..’ She captioned it, ‘Meanwhile, women try to save the planet’ and sprinkled her posts with anti-Trump hashtags such as #NoDAPL #NeverMyPresident #Resist.

In a statement reported by The New York Times, the deputy attorney general, Rod J. Rosenstein, praised the operation that identified Winner.

“Releasing classified material without authorization threatens our nation’s security and undermines public faith in government,” he said. “People who are trusted with classified information and pledge to protect it must be held accountable when they violate that obligation.”

Espionage Act charges carry a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, although conventional leak cases have typically resulted in prison terms of one to three years.

Interestingly, 18 U.S.C. Section 793(e) is one of the statues that Hillary Clinton and Huma Abedin are alleged to have violated in the course of the Clinton email scandal. And, as the charging documents show, contrary to former FBI Director James Comey’s interpretation, intent to profit or harm the interests of the United States is not required as an element of the crime.

Winner was an employee at the Pluribus International Corporation facility only since February 13. Given that she is a former Air Force linguist who speaks Pashto, Farsi and Dari, the languages of Afghanistan, one is left wondering what kind of background check Ms. Winner was given prior to and during her employment and how, in view of these social media red flags, she was given access to sensitive intelligence about the FBI investigation into Russian influence operations in the United States.

We urge the Justice Department to pursue this case with the upmost vigor and seek the toughest sentence available for the crime if Ms. Winner is found guilty.

Data leaker

Its time for us to be absolutely serious about confidence leaks in the USA. We are in a wartime place just a dangerous place in history. I believe just as dangerous as WWII. These "leaks" are America's security. True the lady is young and impressionable, but we truly have to look at everyone's beliefs and feelings in reference to our total security. All the way back to Hillbilly and Oldbummer. This CRAP has to end.

It is sad that a pretty young girl has thrown her entire life away. She should be a very old woman when she gets out of prison and by then she will not be able to cope with not being in prison. She deserves whatever the Government throws at her, provided that it is a lot of prison time. Maybe she will be an object lesson for others.
