Politically Obsessed FBI Misses Real Threats

The revelation that the Parkland, Florida school assassin, Nikolas Cruz, was another “known wolf” killer should surprise no one – except perhaps the anti-Second Amendment Left.

CruzCruz is believed to have commented nine months ago that he was going to kill law-enforcement officials "one day" because they "go after the good people," a CNN investigative correspondent, Drew Griffin, said.

Cruz was also thought to have said he wished "to kill as many as I can," Griffin reported.

As no less a Lefty than CNN’s Jake Tapper reported, after these comments YouTube “vlogger” Ben Bennight reported Cruz to the FBI.

TAPPER: What did you do when you saw the [Nikolas Cruz] comment on the video that you posted?

BENNIGHT: When I see the comment come through my push notifications in YouTube studio, it caught my attention. So I screenshotted it so I could share with the FBI; then I reported it to YouTube as a spam. And of course when you do that, they take the comment down, and then I contacted the FBI. They responded pretty immediately. I had a field agent contact me and meet me at my office the very next morning. He took down the information.

TAPPER: Ben, what’s your response to the FBI today talking about how they were not able to identify the person who posted that comment that you told them about?

BENNIGHT: Well, I think in today’s online word it is very difficult to narrow down who does what without more information, and unfortunately I wasn’t able to provide them with much.

TAPPER: Well, you gave them the user’s name, right, which is the same exact name of the shooter?

BENNIGHT: I did. I did. And I don’t know what the process is to go through these companies to get specific user information.

Our friend Pamela Geller reports that Cruz’s social media posts show the mass murderer was also immersed in Islamic and leftwing hate.

And let’s also keep in mind that students at the Florida high school where at least 17 people were killed in the deadly shooting on Wednesday had "predicted" that the suspect would "shoot up the school" one day, a student said according to Jacksonville, Florida-based WJXT.

An unnamed student told Florida-based WJXT news channel that students "joked" that Cruz would one day shoot up the school.

Having once been a student, Cruz would have been familiar with the school's layout and emergency procedures, the student said according to the Business Insider’s Alexandra Ma.

The student said: "Honestly, a lot of people were saying it was going to be him. All kids joked around like that, saying that he was going to be the one to shoot up the school.

"It turns out everyone predicted it. That's crazy.

"He was on the third floor. He knows the school layout. He knows where everyone would be at.

"He's been with us through fire drills — he's prepared for this stuff,” the unnamed student told WJXT.

USA Today reports that Rob Lasky, FBI special agent in charge of the Miami division, said his agency received a tip in September about a comment made on a YouTube video that said, “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.”

The FBI reviewed databases and couldn’t track down who made the statement, he said.

“There was no connection found to South Florida,” Lasky said according to by USA Today's Bart Jansen.

There were plenty of indications Nikolas Cruz was a time bomb waiting to explode, and even the gun control obsessed Washington Post detailed the warning signs about Cruz’s mental health and how his mother refused to accept that her son was severely troubled and covered for his increasingly dangerous misbehavior.

However, the Federal Bureau of investigation, that was able to exonerate Hillary Clinton and her associates after short interviews, couldn’t track down a guy whose threats were hand delivered to them by a concerned citizen, who was predicted by “everyone” as someone who would shoot-up the school, and who was immersed like many other recent mass killers in Leftwing and Islamic hate.

Rush Limbaugh’s answer to that question was, “The FBI is really busy right now. They’re busy, I’m sure, tracking the entire Trump administration looking for additional sexual harassers. I mean, there may be as many as 4,000 of ’em in there they gotta track down. And then they’re still trying to corroborate the Steele dossier. And that’s a worldwide effort. So, the FBI has spread its resources here very, very thin, and we’ve gotta keep that in mind.”

Our Twitter friend Amy Mek was even more succinct, “Don't forget FBI ALSO interviewed nearly ALL jihadis who ended up KILLING Americans in Little Rock, San Bernadino, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Boston, & other attacks. FBI believes that their ONLY job is bringing down a duly elected Prez”

There may be many good agents out in the FBI field offices, but their priorities are set at the top. Too many "known wolfs" have slipped by the FBI to carry out crimes like the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School massacre. It’s time for the FBI headquarters to get over its political obsessions and get back to its basic mission – protecting America from people like Nikolas Cruz.
