Ralph Northam Is The Perfect Democrat

Ralph Northam racist
Virginia’s Democrat Governor Ralph Northam is the perfect embodiment of today’s Democratic Party: a baby-killing racist, hypocrite and liar.

Northam’s ascent to the top of the Democratic Party was given a huge boost last week as he came out in strong support of and defended HB 2491, Democrat Delegate Kathy Tran’s radical bill to eliminate any restriction on the performance of an abortion up to the moment of birth.

In a radio appearance last Wednesday morning, Northam, a physician, created a firestorm when he said he supported born-alive abortions.

“If a mother is in labor, I can tell you exactly what would happen. The infant would be delivered. The infant would be kept comfortable. The infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,” Northam said in a WTOP interview.

Northam was quick to try to lie his way out of the firestorm he created by his endorsement of infanticide saying criticism of his position was “nothing more than political points,” and later saying “No, I don’t have any regrets, but I do find that how my comments… I did answer that question. I regret that those comments have been mischaracterized…”

Mischaracterized how exactly is left to one’s imagination.

However, what is not imaginary is the fact that since 2013, Northam has received nearly $2 million in campaign donations from Planned Parenthood Virginia. So, it comes as no shock to see him dismiss the extreme nature of Tran’s bill noted Gabriella Hoffman in an article for The Resurgent.

Then, in what can only be described as a flash on instant Karma, it was revealed on Friday that Northam, whose college nickname was revealed to be “Coonman,” posed in blackface (or maybe he was the one in the Ku Klux Klan outfit) in a photo for his 1984 medical school yearbook.

In a plunge that exceeded the velocity of Satan’s fall from Heaven, Northam was condemned and demands for his resignation started streaming in from Democrat presidential candidates, the Virginia NAACP and other Leftwing personalities and organizations.

Were Ralph Northam a Republican (see former Florida Secretary of State Michael Ertel for confirmation) he would have been expected to resign immediately, and the Governor’s Mansion and State Capitol would have been surrounded by baying crowds demanding his head, but Northam is planning to brazen it out.

“I am deeply sorry for the decision I made to appear as I did in the photo and for the hurt that decision caused then and now.” Although he admitted that one of the two racists depicted in his yearbook profile page was him, he could not remember which one was him.

In the subsequent social media video, reported by Brad Blakeman in a column for The Hill, he again apologized but did not change his story. He ended the video by stating that he would not resign and intended to finish his term as governor.

That was Friday.

On Saturday, as Blakeman reported, Northam held a press conference during which he said that, upon reflection and conversations with his wife, classmates and staff, he concluded the offensive photo did not depict him. He did admit that, after graduating from medical school, he appeared in blackface when he dressed as singer Michael Jackson for a dance party in San Antonio, Texas.

"I believe now and then that I am not either of the people in this photo," Northam said, denying that he had ever worn a KKK robe and hood or been drunk enough to forget a moment like this. "This was not me in that picture. That was not Ralph Northam."

However, the governor did admit that he had a racially offensive nickname among at least some classmates at VMI but insisted he did not know the reason for it, and then stated once again that he would not resign his office.

Republicans were quick to recall the offensive and racist campaign ad by Northam allies that depicted GOP opponent Ed Gillespie and his supporters as racists, but Northam shows every indication of hypocritically weathering the storm because he is getting help from a fellow Democrat who by rights should have been among those most deeply offended by his conduct: Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax.

Lt. Governor Fairfax, a descendant of slaves who has protested the state's honoring of Confederate leaders, unlike almost every other major Democratic elected official in Virginia, has not called for the governor’s resignation.

Democrats have turned plantation politics and divvying up offices according to race and gender identity into an art form and it appears rather than do what he would do if Northam were a Republican, and demand Northam’s head, Lt. Governor Fairfax plans to wait his turn and run for Governor in 2021.

In his support for what one of his own Democrat legislators called “partial birth infanticide” and his use of race baiting campaign ads Ralph Northam ran as the perfect Democratic candidate for Governor, and now that the real Ralph Northam and his racist background has been revealed, his long history as the perfect hypocritical liberal, his willingness to lie his way through a crisis in the best tradition of Bill and Hillary Clinton is likely to save his tenure as Governor.
