Richard Viguerie Says Mitt Romney is a Severe Conservative Impersonator

Richard A. Viguerie, the Chairman of, issued the following statement regarding Mitt Romney’s speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in which he described himself as “severely conservative”:

“In my 50 years in conservative politics at the national level, I have never heard anyone other than Governor Romney describe himself as ‘severely’ conservative.

“Romney has shown, once again, that he can mouth the words conservatives use, but he has no gut-level emotional connection with the conservative movement and its ideas and policies.

“To paraphrase a story about Mark Twain, one day his wife decided to repeat some of his more colorful four-letter words to embarrass him into cleaning up his language. After absorbing the barrage, the author thought for a moment and said, ‘Honey, you’ve got the words right, but you just don’t have the tune.’

“After 50 years in the conservative movement, I can say with some authority: Mitt, you may have the words of conservatism right, but you just don’t have the tune.”

Is Romney a conservative?

Romney is as conservative as DeDe Scozzfava was.

Nret Gingrich?

Newt Gingrich?  Really?

Newt Gingrich: Serial Hypocrisy?

Gingrich’s Absurd Outsider Pose:

Gingrich would be worse than Obama on Foreign Policy:

National Debt Grew by $1 Trillion When Gingrich was Speaker of the House:  From Treasury

·         In 1994, the year before Gingrich become Speaker the National Debt was $4, 693 trillion

·         In 1995, the year he become speaker the debt was $4,974 trillion

·         In 1996 the debt was $ 5,225 trillion

·         In 1997 the debt was $5,413 trillion

·         In 1998– the last year of his speakership– the debt was $5,526 trillion

Gingrich Supported Goldwater? Newt Helped Reagan End the Cold War?  Said Newt Gingrich in the Tampa Debate:  “I went to a Goldwater organizing session in 1964. I met with Ronald Reagan for the first time in 1974. I worked with Jack Kemp, and Art Laffer and others to develop supply side economics in the late ’70s. I helped Governor Reagan become President Reagan. I helped pass the Reagan economic program and worked with the National Security Council on issues including the collapse of the Soviet Empire…”   Said Gingrich before:  On Reagan’s decision to meet with Mikhail Gorbachev, Salon’s Glenn Greenwald notes:  “Newt Gingrich… denounced President Reagan’s rapprochement with Gorbachev in 1985 as potentially “the most dangerous summit for the West since Adolf Hitler met with Chamberlain in 1938 at Munich.”

Shockingly Massive Proof That Newt Gingrich is Far From Being A Conservative!

Gingrich Condemned How Reagan Ended the Cold War:  Newt says he helped Reagan defeat the Soviet Union.  Was that before or after he said this? Reports BBC:  In 1985… Mr. Gingrich referred to a meeting between Ronald Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev as “the most dangerous summit for the West since Adolf Hitler met with Chamberlain in 1938 at Munich”.

Santorum-Rubio for the Presidency-VP in 2012!

Santorum has been unwavering in his social conservative credentials whereas Romney only started trying to convince us he was pro-life since it became a matter of expediency while running on the ticket of the political party which contains a pro-life plank in the party platform.  It is easy to find videos on You Tube of what the earlier Romney really thought when he declared unequivocally his allegiance to supporting a woman's supposed right to choose abortion.  As usual, Rush is right and my vote goes to a Santorum-Rubio ticket for the Presidency-VP this November since they would be an unbeatable conservative ticket and they are the genuine Republicans remaining in this race.  We cannot afford a RINO McCain repeat performance this year in handing Obama the other term he needs by which to complete the total destruction of America as we know it.  Wake up before it's too late for our posterity!

Rubio is an honorable man, but like Obama, does not meet the Constitutional requirements to become president, unless, Obama's (illigitimate?) presidency gives precident for nominating him (Rubio).

Santorum may be a social conservative but is definitely not a fiscal conservative.  Look at the bills he has supported for proof.  Romney, Gingrich and Santorum are all big government polititions who cannot, by any stretch of the imagination, be considered Constitutionalists.  My vote goes to Congressman Ron Paul, MD.

Romney not a true Conservative

I agree with your assessment of Romney, that he is NOT a dedicated Conservative.  Nothing more needs to be added except I hope you and all others keep spreading the word that this 2012 election is our last chance to save the USA.

This is pure hogwash!  Romney is THE conservative--Santorum is simply dishonest.

The Record Proves Santorum the Honest Social Conservative

Most likely it is for the very reason that Santorum has a long illustrious record in the Senate with an impeccable record of standing for life and family values that Rush Limbaugh gave him a solid endorsement in recent weeks.  America needs his leadership at the helm of the nation after election day this year.

Are you devoid of even normal senses? You'd have to be blind not to see what he is. And, can't you hear what he says?

Look it up. He is pro abortion. It is recorded online showing him talking about a woman's right to choose. He is for big government. Every thing he says is an echo of B O.

B O wants to be a dictator, so does Romney.

The Council on Foreign

The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is the Rockefeller organized think thank for the New World Order. They have long bragged that if any organization becomes a problem they can have their people, with the help of the controlled news media, infiltrate, destroy or neutralize any organization. It appears the CPAC is no exception being their overwhelming support of Romney.

Gov. Romney

Of the four candidates running, Romney is the only one I would vote for President.  All the others stand NO Chance anainst Obama.  This is not only my opion but that of many other people I have talked to over the past few months. Romney was a great governor in a Very Liberal State with Democrates in control of everything else in the state.  For all of you who talk about Romney Care don't forget Romney got advice from the Heritage Foundation before going forward with the bill..  Also Heritage had a person there at the signing.  But, the big difference is State vs National.

Its time we stop knocking our Presidtial candidates and doing our best to make sure Obama wins.  Lets unite behind Romney and beat Obama not giving him more opportunity to increase socialism in US. All we do with comments like above is make sure we lose in November no matter who the candidate is.

once again a wanna be is

once again a wanna be is proven to be a liar so romeny go back to ma and screw that state up some morej1

I just read his acheivements

I just read his acheivements or failures, whichever he would call them. I suspect he would not be able to answer the question without sounding like a waffler. For my part, he is just a white skinned Oblunder, and he is being shoved down our throats just like obama care was, but by the liberals in the GOP, and the good old boys that don't want anything to change. I would vote for Ron Paul before I would vote for the liberal Romney. Personelly, I like Newt, I think that he is the only one with enough guts to go up against the imposter/liar in charge.

Mitt Romney The False Conservative

Why is Mitt Romney allowed to speak at conservative gatherings? By just allowing him to speak the hosts are passively saying Romney is a conservative. That's one of the reasons this country has gotten into the state it is and that is not confronting people who label themselves one thing when clearly they aren't. I think the Republicans have become to polite!

Of course Romney is doing it for the conservative vote. But we don't have anyone but ourselves to clarify issues since the news media has chosen Mitt Romney to run against Obama. And that is not because they believe he can win; it's because they believe he will lose to Obama. And the alternative; if Romney should win, is they will have a guy that is as close to Obama's beliefs that it won't make any difference.

And you say Frothy is conservative?
