Add San Francisco Democrat House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and the Mayors Of San Francisco and Washington, D.C. to the growing list of Democratic terrorists who are ready to destroy the Constitution’s protections of freedom of speech and religion in their zeal to pander to the radical homosexual agenda and punish fast food restaurant chain Chick-fil-A and its President, Dan Cathy, for supporting the biblical definition of the family unit.
And also add former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s remarks in support of Chick-fil-A and the biblical definition of marriage to the ever-expanding list of reasons the leftwing media hates Sarah.
Sarah Palin’s support for biblical values stands in stark contrast to the unconstitutional threats of Democrat politicians, such as Rahm Emanuel, and their enablers in the leftwing media, who hypocritically overlook the fact that until Obama’s hopes for reelection began to dim, Barack Obama and Sarah Palin held similar views on same-sex marriage.
Sarah Palin’s principled stand in support of the biblical definition of marriage is also in stark contrast to the hypocrisy of Democratic elected officials, like Nancy Pelosi, who claim to be practicing Catholics, but loudly defy the Church’s teaching on abortion.
Making a principled stand on the conservative position on any social issue is a surefire way to draw the wrath of the liberal media and leftwing state-sponsored terrorists -- like Chicago Alderman Proco Joe Moreno -- who are intent on using government power to enforce their views on a reluctant public.
As Gary Bauer recently observed, “The gay-rights movement is instinctively totalitarian. It seeks nothing less than the total and complete acceptance of gay marriage and the repudiation of marriage as it has existed through all human history and in the traditions of every major world religion. Until that happens, their immediate goal is to try to marginalize anyone who expresses a dissenting view in public.”
The attacks on Sarah Palin for her expression of support for Chick-fil-A and the biblical definition of the family unit are really more about advancing the Democrats' re-election prospects and Obama’s plan to radically remake American society than they are about Palin’s views.
The goal of Democrats in the controversy over Dan Cathy’s remarks and Chick-fil-A’s company policies in support of the biblical definition of the family is not to convince a majority of Americans that same-sex marriage is the kind, fair or tolerant position to hold – or even that it is the constitutionally correct policy.
The goal of Democrats is to threaten, bully, coerce and punish millions of Americans into abandoning their Christian beliefs in favor of a soulless secularism with government at its center.
Barack Obama and Democrat politicians like Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and DC Mayor Vincent Gray understand that Christianity will always be in opposition to secular statism, and that a completely secular state can only be built if the political power of Christians is broken. This is their real goal in painting as bigots Sarah Palin, Chick-fil-A and others who publicly hold to biblical principles.
If adopting the radical homosexual agenda will help Democrats gain power and allow them to pursue their statist agenda, they will destroy anyone who gets in the way, no matter how unconstitutional the means or the cost to society at large.
And, if that means throwing aside constitutional protections of free speech and freedom of religion to use the police power of the state to punish Christians who might get in their way, they will do so with relish.
