Just in case the world didn’t believe his many previous anti-Semitic rants, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said once again that the ultimate goal of world forces must be the annihilation of Israel.
According to NewsMax reporting of remarks published in Persian on his website, Ahmadinejad, speaking to ambassadors from Islamic countries ahead of 'Qods Day' ('Jerusalem Day'), an annual Iranian anti-Zionist event established in 1979 by Ayatollah Khomeini and which falls this year on August 17, Ahmadinejad said that a "horrible Zionist current" had been managing world affairs for "about 400 years."
The radical Islamist Iranian President, who has called the Holocaust a myth, has previously called for Israel's annihilation, in a 2005 speech in which he used a Persian phrase that translates literally as "wiped off the page of time."
The response of the Obama administration to this abomination has been silence.
As Rudy Giuliani observed, “Debbie Wasserman Schultz said that Barack Obama is a friend to Israel. I said that’s a joke. . . . If you were a friend of the State of Israel, you would not be trying to push them back to borders that make their country indefensible.”
Nor would you stay silent every time a regime that is pursuing nuclear weapons threatens to wipe Israel “off the page of time.”
In 2008, Obama received 78% of the Jewish vote nationally. The only group providing a larger vote for him was African-Americans, at over 90%.
Israel is the only true friend that the United States has in the Middle East. Even more, Israel is on the frontline of the war between radical Islam and Western civilization.
But Jewish voters in America are slowly beginning to understand that under Barack Obama, that friendship doesn’t run two ways.
As Professor Neil Snyder wrote in American Thinker, “with help from Iran, Israel's enemies are preparing to deliver what they think will be a death blow to Israel. Repeatedly over the years, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has boldly asserted that Iran intends to "wipe Israel off the map." The day has finally arrived when the Iranians think they are ready to launch a coordinated attack… Now more than ever before Israel needs a friend in the White House, and Barack Obama is not that person.”
