The editor of Newsweek, Tina Brown, is a Certified Liberal, yet the cover of the new Newsweek is brutal: a full-page photo of President Obama looking backwards over his shoulder advertising an article titled, “Hit the Road, Barack: Why We Need a New President.”
When asked whether this signifies media Democrats starting to distance themselves from a sinking ship or just good marketing, 44% of those responding said it was just good marketing, while 31% saw a movement by the media away from Obama. 10% saw some sort of payback from Newsweek editor Tina Brown, a long-time supporter of Hillary Clinton’s.
We asked: “Newsweek’s cover “Hit the Road, Barack: Why We Need a New President” is brutal. The editor of Newsweek is Tina Brown, a Certified Liberal. What does this signify?”
You responded:
44% said it’s just a circulation-generating cover, nothing more. Dollars rule.
31% said liberals feel either betrayed or disappointed by Obama, and are fleeing the sinking ship.
16% said they have no idea what, if any, significance there is to the Newsweek cover.
10% said the cover is retribution from a Hillaryite. Hillary was her first Newsweek cover when Brown took over, and featured her before, too.
