After every other Democratic candidate dropped out, Obama finally endorses Biden

Cal Thomas, Washington Times

Mr. Obama’s video endorsement of Mr. Biden on Tuesday came after every other candidate had pulled out. He even waited for Bernie Sanders to suspend his campaign to endorse Mr. Biden. The “moderate” Obama and the formerly moderate Biden now appear to be in bed with the hard-left, Saul Alinsky, socialist wing of their party. In all of this, Mr. Sanders is the real winner. Most of the former Democratic presidential candidates would have been better and stronger than Mr. Biden, but once again the establishment has had its way, and should Mr. Biden be defeated and Democrats lose congressional seats, they will have only themselves to blame.

Obama finally surrenders and gives Biden his endorsement

Michael Goodwin, New York Post

The act itself was hardly cutting edge, given Biden is the only Democrat still running, much of what Obama said made his backing sound like an abject double surrender. The first was to the uninspiring Biden. Had he been Obama’s choice all along, the former president would have had no hesitancy in endorsing him early to help make sure he won the nomination. Instead, there were reports that Obama had advised his former vice president to take a pass on the race. Obama’s second surrender is more profound, for he also bows to the leftist forces reshaping the party. He endorsed not only Biden, but also the former veep’s sharp lurch to the left.

Centrist voters cut Biden out of the picture

Byron York, Washington Examiner

The Democratic presidential race in New Hampshire appears to be changing too quickly for the polls to keep up. The stories that hit the news on Sunday focusing on Joe Biden's difficulties might actually have understated the former vice president's problems. Nearly one-third of voters here remain undecided just hours before Tuesday's primary. That certainly appeared to be true of many in the Buttigieg crowd. But being undecided does not mean a voter is open to any candidate. And that looks like more bad news for Biden. As the experienced New Hampshire politico said, for Biden, and for the rest of the field as well, things appear to be changing not by the hour but by the minute.

Trump economy surges and Biden and Obama hog the credit

Stephen Moore, Washington Times

With the economy surging, all of a sudden, it is just Mr. Obama’s doing. The double standard here is so transparent that only someone suffering from TDS — Trump Derangement Syndrome — would miss it. If the economy were crashing today, the left would say that it’s all Mr. Trump’s fault. But with the economy doing quite well, Mr. Obama gets the credit. The biggest threat to the economy right now is that we repeal the Trump growth policies and return to Obamanomics. This is what Mr. Biden is promising, and if it comes to pass we will learn the bitter lesson that the good old days under Mr. Obama — really weren’t so good at all.

Killing Biden -- to salvage Obama

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

What is this all about? It is a cover-up, plain and simple. Whom, you ask, are they trying to cover for? Their next political savior who can take down Mr. Trump? Certainly not former Vice President Joseph R. Biden. If anything, Mr. Biden has been set ablaze atop the altar as a sacrifice in this massive international cover-up by Democrats. The sleaze and dishonesty and self-dealing that oozes from the Biden name these days will leave a permanent stain on his nearly half-century political career. Do you think Republicans might like to question Mr. Brennan or Mr. Clapper under oath? Of course they would. But Mrs. Pelosi will never let them get that close to Mr. Obama.

Top Ten Reasons for Mitt to Run...AWAY!

We hate to even think about the 2016 election with the 2014 mid-terms still weeks away, but this nightmarish Groundhog Day idea of Romney 2016 just will not go away.
