Three Days to Save America: Keep the “Strengthen Employment and Seasonal Opportunities Now Act” out of the CR
We have 3 days to stop Washington’s inside elite from the destroying the quality of life for millions of America’s working families; it is time to tell Republicans in Congress that we demand an end to the “show votes” and that instead of giving Obama and Big Business a blank check they must represent the best interests of America’s citizen workforce, not foreign “guest workers.” Please join us in demanding an end to this dangerous folly by signing our open letter to House and Senate Republican leaders.
As the clock ticks down to the final vote a group of conservative House members, led by CHQ endorsed Representative Ken Buck of Colorado, have stepped forward to demand that the House “leadership” take a comprehensive approach to defunding Obama’s agenda by using its Article I constitutional power to serve as the basis for funding priorities in appropriations bills. Please sign our open letter to Congress demanding that Republicans defund Obama's dangerous and unconstitutional agenda.
Republican leaders claim defeating Obama's agenda is too complicated for them to handle, but Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma has a simple solution: “It is sad that both parties in Congress are complicit in continuing to fund Planned Parenthood through last minute, massive spending bills like CRs (continuing resolutions) or omnibus bills. I have not and will not vote for any spending bill that sends one cent to Planned Parenthood.”
As Senator Jeff Sessions pointed out unless GOP leaders in Congress—the party controls both chambers, the House and the Senate—do something to pull back on Obama’s “blank checks” for potentially-ISIS-connected Syrian refugees and other potential terrorists, there’s no way to stop Obama from bringing them in. Please join us by signing our open letter to House and Senate Republican leaders demanding they use their "overwhelming power" to stop Obama’s dangerous policies and unconstitutional actions.
Will GOP Presidential Candidates Debate Speaker Ryan’s Bill To Open The Legal Immigration Floodgates?
We urge you to let the Republican presidential candidates know you oppose any move by Speaker Ryan to open the legal immigration floodgates. We also urge you to call your Representative and Senators, the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044, tell them you oppose H.R. 3918. Send them the message that you want Congress to put American workers back to work before admitting even more foreign “guest workers” who will lower wages and continue the erosion of the quality of life for millions of native born American workers and their families.
Becky Gerritson has issued a statement that should be a clarion call to every conservative thinking about running for Congress; "I am pleased that we will not have an unacceptable choice in Kevin McCarthy forced upon us. My hope is that, in the days ahead, a true conservative will win out in the Speaker's race. However, that new Speaker will not have the support he or she needs to lead our Party forward- strong and unified- unless we bolster the ranks of true conservatives in Congress."
"Leadership has often said they are going to fight tooth and nail but then they lose their teeth, they lose their nails," Rep. Dave Brat, the freshman Republican from Virginia who defeated House Majority Leader Eric Cantor in the 2014 GOP primary, wrote in a Facebook post Friday.
We must put pressure on Congress to reject Obama's nuclear weapons deal with Iran and save our children from inheriting a dangerous nuclear-armed radical Muslim regime. If you'd like to see who your Senator supports (Iran or America), you can check on the Secure America Now Iran Deal Scorecard through this link.
In a letter to the House and Senate Judiciary Committees constitutional lawyer Mark J. Fitzgibbons explains why the Email Privacy Act (H.R. 699) and the ECPA Amendments Act (S. 356) come up way short on protecting privacy. While purporting to require warrants to obtain emails, these bills exempt federal and state agencies that issue judge-less administrative subpoenas to obtain private emails and content from individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations, meaning an alphabet soup of agencies can simply write themselves a free pass to look at your email and other data.
The fact that Boehner was blindsided on abortion & border security shows a man without a plan or even a clue. Unless both Boehner & McConnell show leadership & begin listening to their members, R's are in danger of being seen as unable to govern.
If GOP leaders weren't willing to use Congress’ power of the purse, the most potent weapon possessed by lawmakers to restrict a president, to stop an unconstitutional act, conservatives reasoned, would the GOP-controlled Congress ever go to the mat to fight Obama?
Rep. Raul Labrador (R-ID) criticized Mitch McConnell Weds., arguing he needed to stand up to Obama on immigration. “It’s uncanny to me that our leadership is sending the message that we’ve already lost this battle,” Labrador said at a conservative lawmakers event.
Obama's State of the Union speech was a throwback, a rehash of liberal ideas and dreams over the last 40 years that have no chance of passage and will never even see the light of day in comm. hearings on the Hill. Then why propose them?
Obama’s State of the Union address is a good time to remind your Member of Congress that he or she was elected to protect and defend the Constitution from the tidal wave of Obama's encroachments that threaten the basic God-given freedom from government that individuals are guaranteed.
Obama, no longer handcuffed by worries about vulnerable red-state Democratic senators, has been putting Republicans on their back foot.
Do Your Job and Stop Obama's Policies or GO HOME!
To: Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Paul Ryan, U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, and All Members of the House Republican Conference and Senate Republican Conference
