Hillary Clinton

Assault on America, Day 400: What to expect post-impeachment. A bestseller won’t reveal

Though no one truly knows what to expect now that Trump’s impeachment has been relegated to the trash heap of history, one scenario seems likely: Trump’s base has been activated and energized months earlier than in a normal election year and Democrats are in despair from failure. Who will win in the end? You be the judge.

Hillary Clinton ended the practice of humble concessions

Michael Goodwin, New York Post

We can’t be sure what the next front in the war against Trump will be, only that there will be one. Look no further than the Dems’ bitter reaction to their defeat in the impeachment trial to know they still do not accept the results of 2016. The cancer Clinton started has turned Dems into a party of deniers. When they lose, the game was rigged. Indeed, the impeachers already claim the results of this year’s election can’t be trusted. That was their rationale for wanting to force him from office and off the ballot for the rest of his life. Political polarization in Washington is tearing America apart, and the bulk of the blame falls squarely on those who refuse to accept Trump as their president.

Time To End The Corrupt Iowa Caucuses

This is the third time in a row the Iowa caucuses have been corrupted, twice by Democrats and once by Republicans. It is time for the Republican and Democratic Party national organizations to end this corrupt scheme to enrich the Hawkeye State’s political class and media companies.

Assault on America, Day 399: Magnanimous Trump wows Congress and country with SOTU

Every year the president’s State of the Union Address receives more than its share of commentary from the media and punditry, but Trump’s latest iteration might have more staying power than most. The magnanimous president faced real challenges on Tuesday evening and overcame them all. A very Trumpian performance, indeed.

Let’s All Pray For Rush

Rush Limbaugh has been a special friend to CHQ. At times like this one’s relationship with God comes into sharper focus, and we invite all CHQ readers and friends to join us in praying for Rush Limbaugh’s good health and recovery and for confidence and strength for his family.

He’s Not Even A Good Socialist

The media, being intellectually lazy, if not completely ignorant of the tenets of socialism, has bought Sanders’ self-labeling that he is a “socialist.” On matters of compulsion and totalitarianism Senator Bernie Sanders is a good socialist apparently, but on the real core value of socialism – everyone performing socially useful work – Sanders is MIA.

Assault on America, Day 398: What would have happened in Iowa if Democrats could count

Democrats should enjoy their one day of public-attention grabbing fun because all eyes shift back to Washington tonight to see how President Trump will handle his State-of-The-Union address flanked by his not-so-loyal opposition in the last gasps of a doomed impeachment trial. Will Bernie Sanders show up? No matter; he’s already full of glory after Iowa.

Democratic Elites Take On Bernie At Their Own Peril

Patrick J. Buchanan, The American Conservative

In 2016, Sanders ran a surprisingly strong race, and it was later learned that a supposedly neutral DNC had been in the tank for Hillary Clinton. The Democratic establishment, the party elite, had collaborated to put the fix in against Bernie. Yet Sanders supported Clinton that fall. If, however, Bernie’s last chance at the nomination is aborted by an establishment piling on, party super PACs running attack ads against him, and major media taking time out from trashing Trump to break Sanders, the Democratic Party will have the devil’s time of it bringing Bernie’s backers home in the fall. Bernie’s believers might conclude the elites within their own party are the real problem.

A Short History Of Short Democrats Demanding Booster Boxes At Debates

Given the recent history of short Democrats running for President demanding booster boxes at debates, Trump is likely right and having fun playing 3-D chess with Little Mike. But the media chose to ignore Trump's most important point about Bloomberg, which was that the DNC is again putting the fix in to defeat Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Assault on America, Day 397: Would a Sanders Iowa win launch a Dem version of #NeverBernie?

Bernie Sanders could easily end up on November’s ballot. And it all begins tonight in Iowa where Hawkeye State residents have had a good long look at the Democrat party candidate offerings. The political world just might be about to be turned upside-down, a development many would welcome. It’s all over but the voting.

Assault on America, Day 394: Conservatives to RINOs: We got no more use for you guys

The more time passes the clearer it becomes that #NeverTrumpers don’t have a leg to stand on -- or, as Vincent LaGuardia Gambini might say, “I got no more use for this guy”. Next week begins the process of selecting a Democrat opponent for Trump. Can he or she count on help from the Republican resistance?

Assault on America, Day 393: ‘Hi, I’m Mike Bloomberg, and I accept the Dem nomination’

These are strange days when a candidate creates a large following by skipping most of the traditional party nominating process events, but Mike Bloomberg appears to be doing it. Democrats aren’t nearly as unified as the media would have Americans believe, a problem Trump doesn’t need to worry about.

Assault on America, Day 392: Hold your Iowa bets, every horse in the 2020 Dem field is a nag

Bernie Sanders would be dreadful as president. But would he be more appalling than Biden, Warren, Buttigieg or Klobuchar? At best, there’re slight differences between all of them. The chances of an Iowa “shocker” probably aren’t good this year -- but every one of the Democrats is truly alarming.

Assault on America, Day 391: Democrats aren’t the only ones counting on a yuge Iowa turnout

Agricultural interests in places like Iowa and Ohio recognize administration policies are paying off. And that’s the reason why voters will show up on Caucus Night even if they already know the outcome. Like with the Democrat presidential hopefuls, Trump’s 2020 effort kicks off in Iowa. It’s the start of something good.

Assault on America, Day 390: Sizeable fissures emerge in the media’s Democrat unity wall

With the impeachment trial droning on in Washington and the Iowa caucuses only a couple weeks away, Democrats will be hard pressed to maintain some semblance of togetherness heading into a very stressful few months. Will Bernie Sanders’ attacks on Joe Biden have an effect? We’ll soon find out.

Assault on America, Day 387: To Trump’s foes, great victories and progress aren’t presidential

Common sense is in scarce supply in our times when Democrats and #NeverTrumpers cite Trump’s behavior as causing the sorry state of American politics today. Blaming Trump for his own impeachment is akin to condemning an innocent man because you don’t like his haircut. It’s a lesson Trump’s critics should’ve learned by now.

Assault on America, Day 386: God-given rights, Democrats, and the meaning of peaceful protest

These are strange times when the government fears the rights-respecting public and declares a “State of Emergency” when groups of law-abiding citizens exercise their freedoms. Virginia serves as a shining example for the rest of the country on how bad things will happen when Democrats assume the reins of power.

Assault on America, Day 385: Inauguration Day is less than a year away. Will it be Trump X 2?

With impeachment in the rearview mirror, Trump can then go back to tweeting about falling unemployment and foreign policy and energy production and advancing the country’s economic standing. And trade deals. Or continuing to crackdown on illegal immigration. It’s the stuff of victory, isn’t it? We’ll see on Inauguration Day next year.

Assault on America, Day 384: Schiff and Dems’ sensational sham trial won’t get anyone to watch

Regardless of the way individual senators eventually vote on impeachment, this week’s beginning of the trial will be an overly contrived -- but not all that interesting -- show designed to sway public opinion. Will Americans bother to tune-in to something they’ve already been bombarded with for years?

Assault on America, Day 383: Impeachment farce will sound Democrats’ death knell in November

Democrats can have it as dirty as they want with impeachment. If they insist on dragging the trial out, it will not only engulf Trump’s state of the union address, it will swamp their early state primaries as well. In the meantime, nothing will get accomplished and voters will be angry enough to vent come Election day. Bring it on.
