US, Iran Step Back From the Brink

Patrick J. Buchanan, CNS News

What the reactions to this incident reveal is that not only is the United States dealing with a divided regime and nation in Iran, the U.S. is itself divided on what course to pursue with Iran.

Bandow: No One in Current GOP Field Wears the Reagan Foreign Policy Mantle

The Cato Institute's Doug Bandow, a Special Assistant to President Ronald Reagan, says nuance highlighted Reagan’s policies, but with the exception of two candidates, nuance is completely lacking in the current “bomb ‘em, invade ‘em, occupy ‘em” GOP field.

Is the Obama – Corker Iran Nuclear Weapons Deal Falling Apart?

If Speaker Boehner and the other “leaders” of the House Republican Conference do not support Rep. Peter Roskam’s resolution it will prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have been in on this scam from the beginning and they never had any intention of actually giving Obama’s nuclear weapons agreement with Iran the kind of careful review it merits.

Senator Bob Corker Insults the Memory of 9/11 Victims & Middle East Vets

No matter what he says this Friday, Bob Corker’s shameless surrender of the Senate’s power to consent to treaties and his present phony opposition to the nuclear weapons agreement with Iran dishonors the victims of 9/11 and the thousands of Americans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan and lost their lives in the battle with Islamists.

Iran: No one will stop us from developing ballistic missiles

Patrick Goodenough, CNS News

Iran reaffirmed at the weekend that it will scorn any international attempts to restrain its missile program, unveiling a new missile and announcing it will soon hold large-scale ballistic missile war-games.

Why the Iran Deal Won’t Prevent War

The Heritage Foundation

Iran is the world’s #1 state sponsor of terrorism. Americans agree it should not have a nuclear weapon. President Obama’s Iran deal does not prevent Iran from doing so—and, in fact, the deal makes the prospects for war more likely.

After Nuclear Weapons Deal Iran Still A Radical Islamic “Republic”

The Obama fantasy that “engagement” and the deal to allow Iran to pursue its nuclear weapons program free of economic sanctions opens the door for the revival of Iran's pro-democracy movement has no basis in reality because the Islamic Republic is not a society where the majority yearns for a future based on Western consumerist values. We must defeat this dangerous deal. If you'd like to see who your Senator supports (Iran or America), you can check on the Secure America Now Iran Deal Scorecard through this link.

Countdown to Armageddon: Less Than 35 Days To Stop Obama's Iran Nuclear Deal

We must put pressure on Congress to reject Obama's nuclear weapons deal with Iran and save our children from inheriting a dangerous nuclear-armed radical Muslim regime. If you'd like to see who your Senator supports (Iran or America), you can check on the Secure America Now Iran Deal Scorecard through this link.

CHQ Endorsed Rep. Ron DeSantis: Congress Must Reject the Iran Deal

CHQ endorsed Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Ron DeSantis (R-FL) called for Congress to reject the Iran Deal in an OpEd that appeared in Time Magazine. In the OpEd, DeSantis cited the fact that the Iran Deal would provide Iran with $150 billion in unfrozen assets and Iran’s history as the world’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism as reasons to reject the deal. The OpEd was co-written with Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, who like Ron DeSantis served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and was also endorsed by CHQ.

Why the Iran deal’s public support is plummeting

John Podhoretz, The New York Post

On Tuesday, CNN released a poll showing opposition to the deal at 52 percent and support at 42 percent. This came on the heels of last week’s Pew poll that showed 48 percent opposition and 38 percent support. It also followed passionate testimony on behalf of the deal in the Senate from Secretary of State John Kerry and Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz.

The Syria Sham and the Iran Deal

Bret Stephens, The Wall Street Journal

Note the Journal’s Adam Entous and Naftali Bendavid in a deeply reported July 23 exposé that reveals as much about the sham disarmament process in Syria as it foretells about the sham we are getting with Iran.

Giving Aid And Comfort To The Enemy: The Best Argument Against Obama’s Iran Nuke Deal

The Iranian Islamists have no intention of ending their war with us, and Obama’s plan to pay them to continue it, while giving them the nuclear weapons with which to win it, is giving aid and comfort to the enemy and nothing short of treason.

What major announcements is the White House holding back until after the election?

Right now, the White House is postponing virtually all controversial decisions and appointments. At least, it is refusing to announce them. That makes sense politically. They don't want to force embattled Democrats to defend these choices or, worse, to oppose them publicly. What do you think they're hiding?

Obama Defends Islam, Smacks Israel, American Racism at UN

Be Shapiro, Breitbart

Taking on issues ranging from Iran to Russia, from Ukraine to Syria, from global warming to Ebola, Obama pledged to utilize American might in service to the UN, speaking grandly of the beauty and power of the world’s least effective and most morally bankrupt international institution.

FRANK GAFFNEY: Congress Should Declare War On Sharia, Not Islamic State

Those who adhere to and seek to impose, whether through violence or by stealth, brutally repressive, totalitarian, misogynistic, homophobic, intolerant and anti-constitutional shariah on others – have made no secret of their determination to conquer and destroy us and the rest of the civilized world.

Make Congress Vote On War

Patrick Buchanan, Buchanan.org

Rand Paul is right. If Obama wants to take us into a new war, with air attacks and drone strikes, or with ground troops, he has a constitutional duty to get Congress to authorize that war. If Congress does authorize a new war, at least the voters will know whom to be rid of this Nov.

Obama Administration Should Keep U.S. Out Of Iraq’s Revived Killfest

A decade ago America foolishly blew up one of the most important countries in the Middle East.  The Middle East appears to be a tragedy permanently set on repeat.  That is a reason for America to stay out, not jump in.

There Are No “Good Guy” Radical Islamists in Iraq

Obama’s policy makers like President George W. Bush’s before them have failed to grasp the real lesson we should have learned from the rise of the Taliban and al Qaeda in Afghanistan. The enemy is not a nation state or a government, but the idea of Islamic supremacy deeply ingrained in Muslim culture.

Wise Words on Iraq from Senator Ted Cruz

The remarks Ted Cruz made about the President’s proposed actions in Iraq should be applied not just to Iraq, but to a host of other challenges facing America today. Cruz said, "Until the leaders of our government stop making bad choices, we will be left with bad options."

Cheneys Aiming at Rand Paul, Not Liberals

Sandy Fitzgerald, Newsmax

An opinion piece by Dick Cheney and his daughter Liz slamming the Obama admin. was aimed at isolationist Repubs. such as Rand Paul, not liberals, say some analysts. "The Cheneys were targeting Repubs., especially those who support the KY Republican's presidential aspirations."
