Palin Back in Commanding Lead in CHQ Straw Poll

Notable in their absence from the top tier of potential candidates are the usual establishment Republican suspects – Jeb Bush and Chris Christie -- and Marco Rubio also failed to attract any votes in this week’s voting.

Scott Brown for President? Run Scott, Run

Scott Brown is a talented politician. His victory against Martha Coakley was never the fluke Democrats tried to make it out to be. However, the reason Scott Brown is now a former Senator, instead of the full-term senior Senator from Massachusetts is that he violated the first rule of politics: “Dance with the one that brung ya.”

Cruz Challenging Palin In CHQ Straw Poll

In our opinion voters are rejecting the Republican establishment and its brand of Big Government “me-too-ism” in favor of candidates who are authentic representatives of the grassroots conservative base of the Party. It is that authenticity that keeps Governor Sarah Palin and Senator Ted Cruz at the top of the CHQ straw poll.

Hadas Gold, Politico

A poll by a Dem firm shows Rand Paul ahead with 16%. Rubio got only 10%.

Presidential Poll: Carson and West Join Top Five

What seems to be the common trait among the top five vote-getters in our straw poll is that they are all “boat-rockers” of a limited government constitutional conservative bent – the establishment Republicans on the ballot have been largely relegated to the bottom of the list. We think this portends well for Republican chances in 2016.

CHQ GOP Presidential Straw Poll: Rubio Support Dropping Like A Stone

The CHQ straw poll is a sound indicator of where limited-government constitutional conservatives are looking for their next presidential nominee – and it is pretty obvious that it certainly won’t be Florida Senator Marco Rubio.
