Chuck Todd Badly Undermines Himself

L. Brent Bozell III and Tim Graham, CNS News

If the media wanted to be respected as impartial, there's a simple solution: Act impartial. Be respectful. Quote people accurately. Presents facts, not opinions masked as impartial truth. Report news. Speculate carefully. Never editorialize. In other words, don't write stuff like this. Todd might even decide to avoid the furtive wining and dining with the Podestas and the Palmieris. That's the way to build confidence. It's the opposite of what the "objective media" offers us every day.

The New York Times’s slathering praise for John McCain rings false

Roger Kimball, The Spectator

The Times is perfectly willing, nay eager, to celebrate the memory of John McCain. After all, his most conspicuous activities these past few years have been as an anti-Trump activist. But back in the day, the Times was quick to put John McCain in his place just as soon has he tried to abandon his role as a ‘maverick,’ i.e., unreliable, but essentially pro-Democratic, trouble maker. Like Dewar’s Scotch, the Times has this to be said for it: it never varies.

Why the NYT Is Obsessed with Alan Dershowitz

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

What is being exposed here for the umpteenth time is that Great American Newspapers like the NYT are not in any way impartial but are but tony propaganda sheets for the current version of political correctness, whatever that may be. Unfortunately, that is no longer Dershowitz, who represents liberalism from another era when it was still somewhat, well, liberal and wholeheartedly supported such seemingly shopworn chestnuts as the First Amendment. Now it is the slave of progressivism, hence Alan must be ostracized. So the NYT went postal and behaved like raving idiots.

Marginalizing Much-Maligned Melania

Michelle Malkin, National Review

Trump, like so many prominent GOP women before her, will continue to be snubbed, humiliated, and demonized by narrative-control freaks because women on the right threaten the cultural hegemony of the Left. Black or white, rich or poor, centrist or “far right,” native-born or naturalized, Republican mothers, wives, and daughters must be otherized and forced to stay in media-manufactured lanes. When leftists can’t win on their ideas, they resort to marginalizing the messengers of ideology they abhor — and their mates. It’s not an attractive look.

The Furious Fake News of Feminist Novelists

L. Brent Bozell III and Tim Graham, CNS News

Since 1973, liberal feminists have celebrated the "right to choose abortion" without admitting the horror — over 60 million lives have violently and prematurely ended since the Supreme Court ruled in Roe v. Wade. The liberals who champion abortion are far more comfortable panicking that abortion "rights" are always in danger, especially when Republicans control Washington. So it's not surprising that a hot trend among novelists is feminist themes, like imagining the terror of abortions banned.

Delete Your Career

Scott McKay, The American Spectator

Maybe Kathy Griffin is to be commended to a small extent in that her idiotic performance art was enough to unite the Right and a sizable chunk of the Left in disgust. But with that commendation ought to come a command — namely, that if she’s serious about that apology of hers she ought to just retire from show business. It’s not like anybody will miss her talents. Whatever those might be.

The Reason For President Trump’s Approval Problem

There are many issues plumbed in these polls, but what comes through loud and clear is that, by hitching his popularity to Paul Ryan and Ryancare, President Trump has suffered a devastating drop in approval among the staunchest of his core constituents.

The Clinton Strategy Behind Liberal Media Attacks On Matt Lauer

The liberal scalding of Matt Lauer by his fellow “journalists” is part of the Clinton’s final 60-day strategy of coordinated attacks on anyone (especially in the media) who questions Hillary Clinton on her vulnerabilities on the email scandal, the foundation scandal, her disastrous decisions on Libya, Benghazi, Iraq, etc.  and was a warning to the rest of the media community and especially to the moderators of the upcoming official Commission on Presidential Debates that impartiality will not be tolerated.

The Conservative-Media Revolution Has Forced the Liberal Media to Abandon Any Pretense of Objectivity

Rush Limbaugh, National Review

Rush says, he firmly believes that the conservative-media revolution has caused the liberal media to abandon any pretense of objectivity and fairness and actively advocate on the Left’s behalf. This has led in turn to the hyper-partisan nature of our politics today.

Mark Levin worries about the young

Brent Bozell, CNS News

In reviewing Levin’s book, "Plunder and Deceit,” Bozell says, “It's a good bet that no liberal journalist will read it, no liberal newspaper will review it, and that no liberal network would imagine calling up Levin for an interview. They are too busy advocating tolerance and diversity.”

Did O Acknowledge Overwhelming Lib. Bias in TV?

Thomas Lifson, American Thinker

Obama appeared to acknowledge that television broadcasting is overwhelmingly dominated by liberal outlets, with conservative channels outnumbered by a factor of 600.

Levin Slams Nat'l Journal Over Coverage of Boehner's Netanyahu Invite

Ken Shepherd, NewsBusters

"Now that Boehner has invited [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu to speak before Congress, the WH is telling its media surrogates to attack," Mark Levin noted. "Forget about Boehner, attack Israel & Netanyahu, they have violated diplomatic protocol!"

Why The Media’s Fact Probs Are Bigger Than Rolling Stone

Mollie Hemingway, The Federalist

The media’s tsunami of inaccuracy is generally tolerated, embraced and even celebrated so long as it serves the right political and cultural goals.

The Hill Staffer Scandal The Media Doesn't Care About

Derek Hunter, Daily Caller

GOP staffer Elizabeth Lauten got fired for poking fun at the Obama daughters (not a crime). But why isn't the media covering the scandal of Dem. staffer Donny Ray Williams Jr. who pled guilty to drugging and raping two women? Now that's a double standard.

Time to Stop the Moderator Masochism

Brent Bozell, Town Hall

It's well past time to stop letting the liberal networks directly inflict damage on Republicans from the stage during the primary debates.

Rove Lied, Republican Brand Died

C. Edmund Wright, Breitbart

Perhaps this astonishing lesson in moral and political failure will finally wake up donors & decision makers for the GOP to the fact that Rove & his tactics aren't the way to win elections. It's time for conservatives to do for the truth what the liberal media and the Dems do for the lie, which is to repeat it over & over again.

Why Lib. Press Loves Right’s Reaction to O’s ‘Latte Salute’

Noah Rothman, Hot Air

Conservatives’ criticisms are valid, but they are also not immediately apparent to the vast majority of civilians who've never served. This includes the political media complex. Out of ignorance, they see the criticisms of Obama on matters like these as trite, baseless, and rooted in hatred.

DOJ, Media Matters Coordinate Hit on Conservative Reporter

Betsy Rothstein, Daily Caller

Since when does the Department of Justice coordinate with an obviously liberal media organization to go after a conservative reporter? It’s official: At least since 2011.

Eric Holder and The Lynch Mob Mentality in Ferguson

With Attorney General Eric Holder’s Department of Justice Civil Rights Criminal Division record of anti-police bias and misconduct the hope for an investigation to “dispassionately establish the facts” in the shooting of Michael Brown seems to be receding, not advancing. Sign our petition to impeach Eric Holder.

38 Journalism Orgs Slam Obama's News Censorship

Paul Bedard, Washington Examiner

In unprecedented criticism of the White House, 38 journalism groups have assailed the president's team for censoring media coverage, limiting access to top officials and overall “politically-driven suppression of the news.”
