Trump Snatching Defeat From The Jaws Of Victory On Immigration

The current level of immigration, even without amnesty, will add nearly 15 million new Left-leaning voters to our polity. Add to that amnesty for millions of mostly Mexican and Central American DACA beneficiaries and Trump will make Republicans a permanent minority party and limited government constitutional conservatism a soon-to-be extinct philosophy of government.

Did We Just Say Paul Ryan Is Right?

Ryan is right to criticize the Senate for government by train wreck, the question is what is his Senate counterpart Mitch McConnell going to do about it? One idea is to embrace President Trump’s suggestion that the Senate do away with the 60-vote rule on spending bills, thus stripping the Democrats of their power to bring the country to a halt whenever they want to pander to their Leftwing base.

Make the Senate the Senate again

Editors, Washington Examiner

The Senate, for a decade has been defined by the number 60. That’s the number of votes it takes to break a filibuster. Historically, though, the most important number in the Senate has been one. That's not one as in the majority leader is the one senator who decides what is voted on, but one as in it takes only one senator to offer an amendment or introduce legislation.

Now Is The Time To Crush The Democrats

It is inconceivable to us that Republican “leaders” cannot grasp what a strong political position they now hold vis-à-vis the Democrats, and how the future of their majority now balances on a knife’s edge. We urge CHQ readers to call the toll free Capitol Switchboard (1-866-220-0044), ask for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Senator John Cornyn, tell them conservatives will bolt the GOP if they trade ending the #SchumerShutdown for amnesty for illegal aliens.

Trump Shoots Down Senate Liberals’ Amnesty Bill

President Trump called the deal proposed by Senators Flake and Durbin “horrible” on border security funding, the President also said the deal was “very, very weak” when it came to the White House’s preferred changes to the legal immigration system. "It's the opposite of what I campaigned for," the President.

Getting The Immigration Bills Straight

Extending DACA or passing a larger amnesty bill before we build the promised border wall, before we take other actions to improve border security, before we beef up internal enforcement of our immigration laws, and before we remove the incentives to come and stay in America illegally would be a colossal mistake.

Trump Says What Normal Americans Think, Establishment Goes Nuts

We think all the establishment huffing and puffing about President Trump's "sh-thole" remark is cover for the fact that other than achieving their goal of fundamentally changing America, they have no answer for why we need more uneducated immigrants from underdeveloped countries.

Who Is Right: Rush Or Tucker And Ann?

So, who is right? Rush, who says don’t worry the President's meeting wasn’t about DACA, amnesty or anything but showing the world that Trump is in control and isn’t suffering from dementia. Or is it Tucker Carlson and Ann Coulter who say the meeting was a disaster, and perhaps the lowest point of Donald Trump’s presidency?

The DACA Lovefest At The White House

Ann Coulter and Rep. Steve King are right, the real goal of the latest immigration deal is not to merely grant some humanitarian-motivated relief to current DACA beneficiaries, it is to advance the ultimate goal of changing the United States into an open borders globalist econometric society stripped of any of the of the trappings of nationhood or American exceptionalism.

The Conservative Cause Is Bigger Than Any Two Men

By Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
Looking toward the 2018 primaries, the rupture of relations between Trump and Bannon has created a temporary leadership vacuum in the conservative – populist movement, so it is up to each of us to step up and do what we can to fill that vacuum; the need for top quality conservative candidates for every office is too great, our goals are too important, and our mission is too urgent for this battle of personalities to slow us, let alone to stop us.

No Mr. President We Don’t 'Hope' To Work Out A Deal With Democrats

President Trump has completely confused many of his most ardent supporters with conflicting statements about the future of Obama’s anti-constitutional Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that grants de facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.

How Complicated Can Paying For A Border Wall Be?

The problem that is complicated and stumping the Republican establishment's Capitol Hill "leadership" is not building the wall, it is doing a deal to grant amnesty to those covered by Obama’s anti-constitutional DACA program – constructing the wall is the easy part.

Trump-onomics 101

The forgotten working folks who voted for Donald Trump are seeing the benefit of his economic policies in more hours at the factories and other businesses that employ them, higher wages and more job security in the outlook for new orders.

How Conservatives Can Make 2018 Better Than 2017

It’s the Primaries, stupid! In most states every office from Governor to precinct committeeman in your precinct will be on the ballot in the 2018 primary. If you are represented by a RINO or an ineffective elected offical we urge you to go to your local elections office and pick up the paperwork to file TODAY.

Trump Voters Winners In First 24 Hours Of Tax Reform

The Fake News media can kvetch about “trickle down” economics all they want, but $1,000 bonuses to Trump voters – frontline workers and managers – and companies announcing $15 an hour minimum wage is a huge political win for President Trump, and a big quality of life win for America’s hard-pressed working families.

Democrat Doug Jones Comes Out In Support Of DACA: Miss Roy Moore Yet?

Whether Doug Jones has an R or a D next to his name in the Senate Directory doesn’t really matter to the Republican establishment that shares Jones’ worldview and policy preferences on issues from DACA and illegal immigration, to the growth of government, to funding Planned Parenthood.

Thanks a Lot, Chauncey Gardner

Scott McKay, The American Spectator

This entire debacle was an exercise in denying the people what they wanted, not to mention attempting to cover up their own mistakes. That NRSC chairman Cory Gardner, McConnell, and the rest of the Establishment mouthpieces have fanned out across the media spectrum to tell GOP voters of the virtues of Tuesday night’s result is perfect evidence of this. This debacle constitutes a betrayal, witting or otherwise, of Republican voters and donors alike, and it’s time for McConnell to step down as the majority leader.

Mitch McConnell Is The Reason Doug Jones Is A Senator

Jordan Gehrke, The Federalist

Because of the toxicity of the GOP establishment brand today, meddling in primaries actually makes it more likely, not less likely that bad candidates will win primaries in the future. Instead of primaries being about the candidates and their flaws, going forward, they will be about Mitch McConnell and K Street as long as he publicly interferes. The question now is: will McConnell learn this lesson? How many more seats do we have to lose?

The Uniparty Defeats Roy Moore And Trump Agenda

The game here isn’t electing Republicans – it is “crushing” conservatives and Tea Partiers. What the Uniparty is interested in is maintaining their own power and a Roy Moore victory would have been a serious impediment to their power, but Doug Jones is merely another Democrat to cut a deal with.
