Obstruction of Justice

Diana West: Barr 'will keep a lid on questions about this Special Counsel investigation'

While many conservatives have applauded Attorney Barr’s comments during his recent CBS News interview, our friend author Diana West parsed his words closely and concluded they indicate that, rather than blowing away the smokescreen masking the Deep State conspiracy against President Trump, Mr. Barr is intent on managing it.

Democrats Have A Three-Part Plan For The Politics Of Impeachment

House Democrats have a well-thought-out plan to regain control of the federal government; part one is to push the message that President Trump is engaged in a coverup. Trump supporters should hit every social media platform, letter to the editor column and other public fora with the question “Cover up of what?” every time a Democrat or Left-leaning media personality surfaces to make the charge.

Trump, falsely accused of collusion, faces new onslaught of obstruction accusations

Byron York, Washington Examiner

Democrats will now point out that one can be charged with obstruction of justice even if there was no underlying crime. That is indeed true. But the Trump-Russia fight of the coming year will not be a legal debate. It will be a political debate, as Democrats seek to damage the president going into the 2020 election. And in the political debate, Mueller's clear conclusion on the underlying issue of collusion, that there wasn't any, will give the president a very powerful argument.

Senator Lindsey Graham Makes A Great Point

Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday, “We’ll have offers on the table when we find somebody that’s not crazy to deal with…” judging by what the Democrats’ leaders are saying it looks like it is going to be a long shutdown, if it can’t end until someone who is not crazy represents them at the negotiating table.

Democrats Keep Their Promises

Much as we dislike the substance of the Democrats’ promises, as Republican Rep. Tom Reed’s flirtation with voting for the Democratic rules package demonstrates, it is hard to argue with the appeal of politicians who actually do what they say they will do, even if what they promise is a disaster waiting to happen.

The Antithesis of Obstruction

Andrew C. McCarthy, National Review

The Russia investigation, to the extent it seeks to understand and guard against Putin’s treachery, is a search for the truth. Trump has not interfered with it; indeed, Comey’s testimony indicates that he encouraged it — acknowledging it would be good to find out if his “satellites” had done something wrong. The collusion narrative, however, is a fraud on the public. It is not obstruction to expose a false narrative.

Does Robert Mueller Want to Cause a Civil War?

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

With the leakers unpunished, Mueller's decisions will not have convinced half the country of what has been referred to by others as their "fairness." They will only exacerbate an already bad situation.  And that is -- given the dreadfully divided state of our nation at the moment -- a recipe for civil war.

AG Sessions Before The Senate Intelligence Committee: It’s A Hearing About Nothing

Today’s hearing before the Senate Intelligence Committee featuring former Senator, now Attorney General, Jeff Sessions should be the last time the government of the United States allows itself to be manipulated into responding to the lies and provocations of James Comey.

James Comey: The Incredible Shrinking Man

Perhaps if James Comey had known his Rudyard Kipling a bit better he might have chosen a different metaphor for himself than Captains Courageous, like the one where Kipling said, Now, don't be angry after you've been afraid. That's the worst kind of cowardice.

James Comey: Everything You Need To Know In One Line

There was one line in his written testimony that summed up everything you need to know about James Comey, why he was fired and why he was such a danger to constitutional government: "the FBI’s traditionally independent status in the executive branch."

Articles of Impeachment for Eric Holder Circulating

Eric Holder is the most political Attorney General ever to occupy the office. In the service of Barack Obama’s radical liberal agenda Holder has become not the Nation’s top law enforcement officer, but one of its premier lawbreakers. We urge you to contact your Congressman today (The Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) and tell him or her to support Rep. Pete Olson and to sign onto the impeachment resolution Olson is circulating. Please SIGN AND SHARE OUR PETITION to IMPEACH ERIC HOLDER.
