Matthew Boyle, Breitbart

A new poll from WPA Research shows conservative MS state Sen. Chris McDaniel has shot up to an eight-point lead, outside the margin of error, over Sen. Thad Cochran a little over a week from the runoff election. The poll of 500 likely GOP voters has McDaniel leading Cochran 49% to 41%.

VIGUERIE: BOEHNER WILL STEP DOWN BEFORE '15

Greg Corombos, WND

“In Dave Brat, we had a first-class candidate. We have a first-class candidate running against an incumbent in Mississippi, Chris McDaniel. I think he’s going to win. The VA & MS elections send a message to high-quality conservatives out there, ‘Let me take a chance against the king; it’s been done before with success."

Kenric Ward, Watchdog.org

Know Anything About the Tea Party Now Senator Cochran?

Establishment Republican Senator Thad Cochran, a 42-year incumbent, once said "The Tea Party is something I don't really know a lot about." Now his Tea Party-backed challenger Chris McDaniel is leading him by nearly 2,000 votes in the hard fought Mississippi GOP Senate primary. With a third candidate in the race and neither of the major candidates breaking the 50% barrier a runoff is all but certain.

Fundraisers at Cochran Aide's House May Be Illegal

Matthew Boyle, Breitbart

Sen. Thad Cochran's assistant, Kay Webber, frequently rents the posh DC house she owns as a venue for fundraisers, even to Cochran's campaign. An attorney & a congressional watchdog say the fact Webber works for Cochran, and that Cochran lives in the house, could land the two in hot water.

Stu Rothenberg Invents A New Kind of “Conservative”

By Richard A. Viguerie, Author & CHQ Chairman

Stu Rothenberg is a smart guy, but he apparently missed Bill Murray’s classic movie comedy “Groundhog Day” in which Murray becomes stuck in a time warp because of his selfish and self-centered ways. With “pragmatic conservatives” like Mike Simpson and Thad Cochran representing the GOP, Republican voters are stuck in a similar time warp.

What I Told The Heritage Foundation

By Richard A. Viguerie, Author & CHQ Chairman

Heritage Foundation President Jim DeMint is the de facto leader of the conservative movement because he understands that, while the establishment media and big-government Republicans have done a good job of blaming conservatives for Republican losses, the reality is voters consistently reject big-government, content-free Republicans. The GOP only wins when it draws a clear contrast with the secular liberal big government worldview of the Democrats.
