By Richard A Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
I was honored to be asked to be one of those who eulogized Phyllis Schlafly this past Saturday, along with Congressman Steve King of Iowa, Congressman Louie Gohmert of Texas, Congressman Todd Akin of Missouri, founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition Ralph Reed, and several of Phyllis’ family members. General and Mrs. John Singlaub were also in attendance.

Donald and Ivanka Trump Rollout Conservative Family Care Plan

Rather than trash Trump for his family and maternity leave proposal movement conservative leaders and thinkers ought to be engaged in answering the real question that conservative voters care about: how does the movement of family values empower successful families?

How Phyllis Schlafly Saved The Conservative Movement

By Richard Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
No matter how bad things looked on Capitol Hill during the 1970s, hope and encouragement came from Phyllis Schlafly and her legions of women who defeated the ERA state-by-state and in so doing showed conservatives what effective political organizing and bare-knuckle politics could accomplish when it was separated from the drag of the Republican establishment.

Phyllis Schlafly's Final Book: The Conservative Case for Donald Trump

We urge our fellow citizens who have yet to make-up their minds about the election, especially conservatives who may find Donald Trump, as the late Phyllis Schlafly put it, “puzzling or even offensive,” to keep an open mind and read The Conservative Case For Donald Trump before Election Day, we believe that in it they will find, as we did, a persuasive case for voting for Donald Trump.

The Conservative Movement Has Problems That Go Way beyond ‘the Establishment’

John Hawkins, National Review

The establishment Republicans may deserve most of the criticism aimed at them, but if we pretend that they’re the only ones who have to change anything, we’re doomed as a movement.

The New Puritans vs. Trump's Revolutionary Conservatives

The 2016 presidential election has pitted the Revolutionary Conservatives inspired by Phyllis Schlafly's "A Choice Not An Echo" against individuals inspired by 19th century preacher Charles H. Spurgeon, until the rift is healed conservatism is in danger of becoming politically irrelevant.

A Giant Passes: Pastor Tim LaHaye Graduates To Heaven

The Man Who Could Have Changed History, Senator Bill Armstrong, Passes Away

For many movement conservatives the leading conservative candidate for Vice President in 1980 was Senator Bill Armstrong. However, feeling the need to unite the GOP, Ronald Reagan ultimately chose George H.W. Bush as his running mate, and the rest – including the failed presidencies of George H.W Bush and George W. Bush – is history.

Conservatives, I Urge You to Join Me: Unite Behind Trump and Pence

By: Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
Friends, we've had our howl of frustration, but this is now a binary choice: Trump and Pence vs. Hillary Clinton. In this battle there is only the victory or defeat of constitutional liberty and the rule of law. In this battle there is no third option, there is no compromise, there is no sitting out the election. I’m all in for Trump and Pence and I urge you to join me and them in making America great again.

GOP Establishment Running Their 1964 Stop Goldwater Plan Against Trump

There are a lot of parallels between 1964 and 2016, but the most important one is this: By defeating Goldwater, establishment Republicans created the opportunity for Democrats and their progressive Republican allies to bankrupt the country in a war that lacked a strategy for victory and to enact the regulatory and welfare regime that continues to plague our economy and limit our liberty fifty years on.

Trump Haters On The Right Versus Reality

Trump haters on the right seem to think that the battle to govern America according to conservative principles is over – and nothing could be further from the truth. If Donald Trump was not your candidate – so be it. But the battle to govern America according to conservative principles is hardly over – it has just begun -- it’s time for people truly interested in the future of this country to stop trashing Trump and to start trying to influence him.

Where’s the Conservative Leadership?

It is obvious that American culture and the moral foundation of our society are in free fall, but conservative leaders are all too often spending their time navel gazing or worrying about offending some politician rather than calling their grassroots adherents to stand against the great moral crises facing America, and indeed all of western civilization.

Trump vs Cruz Battle Must Not Break the Conservative Movement

The natural beneficiaries of the current bloodletting between the conservative and populist wings of the anti-establishment coalition are the Republican establishment, Hillary Clinton and the Far-Left who seek to maintain and expand their power by undermining constitutional liberty and continuing the crony economic policies that have devastated America’s country class for two decades. #NeverHillary #NeverRyan

‘Natural Conservatives’ Versus The GOP Establishment

Scott Greer, The Daily Caller

The best illustration of this disagreement is how two recent articles at different conservative publications, Breitbart and the Federalist, treated the prominent social psychologist Jonathan Haidt’s conservative instinct theory.

Conclusion: Should Conservatives Support Trump If He Wins The GOP Nomination?

Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman and George Rasley, Editor, CHQ
The idea that movement conservatives should join forces with the Republican establishment to deny Donald Trump the nomination would be an unforgivable betrayal, perpetuate the near-treasonous sellout of our country, and be a disaster for the conservative movement. We urge Trump and Cruz delegates to form an alliance and to stand together to ensure that the Republican National Convention nominates a conservative – populist ticket.

Part 3: What Should Conservatives Do if Trump Wins the Republican Nomination?

The idea that Ted Cruz and his movement conservative supporters should join forces with the establishment Republican perpetrators of what has become a near-treasonous sellout of our country would prove to be a disaster for the conservative movement and provide no guarantee of a conservative victory in November.
