Border Crisis Continues To Burn While GOP Fiddles

We urge CHQ readers and friends to contact your Senators and Representatives today to tell them not to waste the Lame Duck. This is the last opportunity Republicans have to fund the Wall before radical Far-Left Democrats takeover the House and impose gridlock on President Trump’s conservative agenda. The Only Good Republican Is A Dead Republican

Kurt Schlichter, Townhall

Democrats want Republicans to be more like Bush 41 not because they want war heroes or “truth-tellers” but because they want Republicans who split the base and lose. They want a Republican they can cajole into breaking his campaign promises then crucify him at the next election for doing it. They don’t want someone so gauche and vulgar that he fails to care what the WaPo thinks and who punches back three times as hard. They want a Republican who understands that his job is to try, unsuccessfully, to slow the inevitable and unstoppable spread of progressivism, and to lose that struggle like a gentleman.

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

The media is treating George H.W. Bush as “The anti-Trump.” Well, there it is. All the sudden praise, all the accolades, this surprise love affair with George H.W. Bush. It is all just another vehicle for demonstrating their hatred for Donald Trump. It is true that Mr. Trump is certainly cut from a different cloth than was Mr. Bush. He comes from a different family from a different side of the track or river or whatever. But, read my lips: Whatever family Mr. Trump comes from, if he keeps on keeping his campaign promises, he will get himself re-elected president. And that will be just one more way Mr. Trump was different from Mr. Bush.

The George H.W. Bush Obituary You Won’t Read In The New York Times (Part One)

By Richard A. Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
Those who wax nostalgic for George H.W. Bush’s public decorum and old-fashioned Protestant rectitude want Americans to forget that behind the gentlemanly exterior was a politician whose policies were anything but conservative, and whose greatest political legacy was breaking the Reagan coalition and undoing many of Ronald Reagan’s hard-won victories.
