Why Do Our Intelligence Agencies Keep Lying to Us?

Roger L. Simon, The Epoch Times

It defies common sense that either the Chinese or the Russians would remotely prefer Trump for president over the increasingly painful-to-watch, listless Biden. Vladimir Putin may be a lot of things, but he’s not senile. What’s going on here? Where did this government report come from? Cui bono? Who’s behind it? Was it the deep state again? More than anything, the Russians want to stir things up, get us at each other’s throat via disinformation. Lately, they’ve been doing a helluva job. I still wish this whole rancid system would be blown up. Very little of it is worth preserving.

Trump appoints first woman to lead the National Counterterrorism Center

Tammy Bruce, Washington Times

The Trump administration moves forward with groundbreaking decisions about leadership, elevating individuals who perhaps had not been partisan enough for the swamp to be considered for leadership in the past. The DNI’s office noted about Ms. Shiao and Ms. Linkins: “They are well-respected career intelligence officials, with deep analytic, operational and leadership experience serving in the Intelligence Community (IC) and are recognized for their focus and commitment to workforce issues, including recruitment, development, retention and morale. Under their direction, NCTC is well-postured to lead the counterterrorism mission into the future.”

Another Deep State Smear Of Trump

There’s nothing that says the Administration has to run out and obligate the funds Congress appropriates on the first day of the Fiscal Year. The Pentagon spends more than $2 billion every day, and plenty of Americans would like to see that number go down. To claim the President broke the law because the Pentagon couldn’t spend $35 million in 19 days is nothing but a political smear.

Sharyl Attkisson: The Government Has Rigged The Rules To Avoid Accountability

After years without turning over a single document in response to dozens of Sharyl Attkisson’s subpoenas, the government now argues that her case should be dismissed, in part, because she hasn’t learned the names of the “John Doe” federal agents to insert in the lawsuit; names which only the government knows and has refused to divulge.

New Poll: Most Americans Believe the Government Spies on Journalists, Like Sharyl Attkisson

A new poll from Rasmussen Reports confirms the damage done by the Obama-era abuses by the FBI and other intelligence agencies and gives further evidence that Americans are on the side of investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson and others who are trying to rip the veil of secrecy off Obama’s domestic spying operations.

New Poll: Conservatives Say Revoke Their Security Clearances

A new FedUp PAC poll shows that conservatives overwhelmingly agree that President Trump should revoke the security clearances of those involved in the unfolding scandal regarding the Obama administration’s spying on people in the Trump campaign.

Investigating The Messenger #HeadsMustRoll

Instead of looking into whether one of the highest-ranking officials in the United States government had been compromised by a foreign power, the Obama-era FBI and Department of Justice decided to investigate the messenger, a political small fry with no power to affect policy or, for example, approve selling 20 percent of America’s uranium to the Russians.

#HeadsMustRoll Why There Must Be A Special Counsel To Investigate FISA Abuse

The Steele criminal referral we reported on last week in essence asks the FBI to investigate a source with whom FBI officials collaborated, and whose evidence they used in a fashion that’s under congressional investigation. The referral reveals the deep conflicts of interest of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and others who signed the questionable wiretap applications using the Steele dossier.

Rep. Devin Nunes: Twenty-First Century Patriot

There are few patriots in Washington who will stand in the breach and take the pressure, smears and abuse that Devin Nunes has suffered since he resolved to make public the memo about Obama-era FBI and Department of Justice attempts to undermine Donald Trump. All liberty loving Americans of whatever political stripe owe him a debt of gratitude for his patriotism, perseverance and integrity.

Intelligence Recognizes Presidential Authority — A Case of Too Little, Too Late

Angelo M. Codevilla, The American Spectator

No president can tell Congress what to tell or not to tell the American people, or not to subpoena your documents, or not to put you in jail if you don’t comply. Maybe if you had not slapped your lawful boss around with your pretense of “independence,” if you had come to him confessing your sins and humbly asking his indulgence, you might not be in this fix. Now you are asking for a “get out of jail” card, which he probably can’t give you even if he wanted to.

If the GOP memo is as advertised we’ll see the deep state at its most frightening

Judge Andrew P. Napolitano, Fox News

Where is the personal courage on the House Intelligence Committee? Where is the patriotism? Where is the fidelity to the Constitution? The government exists by our consent. It derives its powers from us. We have a right to know what it has done in our names, who broke our trust, who knew about it, who looked the other way and why and by whom all this was intentionally hidden until after Congress voted to expand FISA.

FISA Memo Released FBI Assistant Director Resigns

The FBI Director himself read the memo on Sunday night, and HPSCI staffers met with FBI agents on Monday to further discuss its contents. After the memo was released to the FBI Director, FBI Assistant Director Andrew McCabe abruptly resigned. However, it may not have been the FISA memo alone that gave McCabe the push out the door.

What We Know About #ReleaseTheMemo

The Nunes memo is the first official document to summarize and substantiate the explosive charges against Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and former FBI Director James Comey. The public has a right to see that evidence, and Congress has a duty to expose and refer for prosecution all of those involved – especially those who are still serving in government.

#ReleaseTheMemo: Senator Grassley Unloads On FBI And DOJ

If we were betting men, we’d bet that Chairman Chuck Grassley's outrage with the FBI amd DOJ signals he has uncovered evidence that they are neck deep in the peddling of the phony Trump dossier and he’s not happy that the criminals at the Justice Department are now investigating themselves.

#ReleaseTheMemo

We urge CHQ readers to join the social media campaign to release the memo on Obama's abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act to the public by tweeting #ReleaseTheMemo, posting this article on Facebook and other social media and calling your Representative (The Toll-Free Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) to tell your Member of Congress you want the document released to the public immediately.

The real problem with Fusion GPS' Steele dossier

Ned Ryun, Fox News

If the lawmakers keep pulling the thread on Steele’s work of fiction, going where it leads them, it will take them to where some of us have suspected: a deeply corrupt Department of Justice and FBI badly in need of reform, and a media that must be forced to confront their own massive mistakes and report on one of their greatest failures.
