Pence To CPAC: 'Progress Is Driven By The People Who Show Up'

Vice President Pence’s defiance of the establishment media outlets that criticized him during the Olympics and glorified Kim Jong-un’s sister seemed to get all the press, but the most important part of his CPAC speech was his message to those on the Right who are still sitting on the sidelines waiting for Trump to fail: “Progress is driven by the people who show up.”

The Better Voters Know Mitt Romney The Less They Like Him #NeverMitt

It is clear to us that Mitt Romney isn’t running for the Senate to represent the hard-pressed working families of Utah – he’s running to be the anti-Donald Trump. We urge our friends in the Beehive State to get to know the real Mitt Romney before the Utah Republican Convention and to find an alternative candidate more in keeping with the Make America Great Again agenda they voted for in 2016.

#NeverMitt – Romney’s Shameful Record of Lies and Flip-Flops

John McCain’s 2008 opposition research file on Mitt Romney – all 200 pages of it – ended-up on the internet.  God bless whoever posted it, because it makes truly compelling reading and it shows conclusively that Mitt Romney’s greatest talent as a candidate is his ability to keep every hair in place while not telling the truth.

Heritage Report Ranking Trump Above Reagan Again Exposes #NeverTrump Grifters

John Nolte, Breitbart

According to the Heritage Foundation, during his first year in office, Trump adopted nearly two-thirds (64 percent) of Heritage’s agenda. By comparison, Heritage says that former President Reagan enacted only 49 percent of its policy prescriptions. “There is so much noise in this town that I think it obscures the real work that’s being done,” Heritage president Kay Coles James told the New York Times. “This administration is doing quite well in terms of advancing a conservative agenda — clearly, quite well.”

The Bill vs. Tucker Cage Match

Those of us who have known and worked with Bill Kristol have been stunned by his behavior since Donald Trump cinched the Republican nomination for President. In an interview with CNBC’s John Harwood, Kristol launched at Fox News’ Tucker Carlson his latest, and perhaps most vicious assault against those advocating a conservative – populist philosophy and agenda.

#NeverMitt – Mitt’s American Values

Considering his record on “values” Mitt Romney arrogantly setting himself up as the arbiter of “American values” leaves us stuck someplace between amusement and disgust, so we thought in our second #NeverMitt article we should look at the real Mitt Romney, and his record on one of America's foundational values.

#NeverMitt

We don’t know if Utah’s forgotten men and women know much about the real Mitt Romney – the vulture capitalist who likes firing people, who opposes economic nationalism and thinks the job killing Trans Pacific Partnership would have been good for America, so here is the first in our series outing the real Mitt Romney.

The Plot to Bring Down Trump

Patrick J. Buchanan, The American Conservative

Thus we have Free Beacon neocons, never-Trump Republicans, the Hillary Clinton campaign, the DNC, a British spy and comrades in Russian intelligence, and perhaps the FBI, all working with secret money and seedy individuals to destroy a candidate they could not defeat in a free election. The real indictment here is of the American political system, and the true tragedy is the decline of the Old Republic.

Message v. Messenger: The Trump Enigma

Victor Davis Hanson, American Greatness

It is likely that there is a 50/50 chance that the unpredictable and irascible Trump and policies will achieve in the not so distant future a sustainable 3 percent annual rate of GDP growth, a reform of the tax code, a systematic dismantling of onerous government regulations through executive orders, a restoration of U.S. deterrence abroad, another conservative Supreme Court justice, and a return to legal, measured, and meritocratic immigration—and thus even more hysteria and hatred of Trump, the person, from policy supporters and opponents alike.

Trump Haters, Supporters, Neither, and Both

Victor Davis Hanson, National Review

In terms of fratricide, 2008 and 2012 saw lots of Never McCain and Never Romney blue-collar Republicans and Reagan Democrats who stayed home. Unlike in 2016, both absent groups cost Republican nominees the elections. What is new is not party civil war, but rather elite in-fighting, whose importance is calibrated by noise rather than numbers and votes.

Republicans, heal thyself: Time to bury the anti-Donald Trump hatchet

Cheryl K. Chumley, Washington Times

Truly, Trump supporters already know Congress is filled with RINOs. They’ve known that way before Trump even took office. Conversely, Trump critics know this president isn’t the smoothest-talking diplomat in the room. He’s not changed in tone since campaign days. So what more to prove by continuing the jabs and slams and petty name-calling and blaming? It’s time to start the healing process. Bury the hatchet, guys.

Why #NeverTrumpers Still Attack Trump

Dennis Prager, National Review

They can join the fight. They can accept an imperfect reality and acknowledge that we are in a civil war, and that Trump, with all his flaws, is our general. If this general is going to win, he needs the best fighters. But too many of them, some of the best minds of the conservative movement, are AWOL.

The Nightmares and the Realities of Never Trump

Victor Davis Hanson, American Greatness

Like it or not, a Rubio or Cruz nominee likely would have not won these swing voters and thus likely would have lost the election, and with it ensured at least 12 and likely 16 years of a hard progressive government. Trump was not so much a reflection of red-state Americans’ political ignorance, as their weariness with those of both parties who ridicule, ignore, or patronize them—and now seek to overturn the verdict of the election.

Trumps’ critics aim to bring about the cataclysm they predicted.

Victor Davis Hanson, National Review

Chic Trump hatred and sick talks of coups — or worse — hinge on economic growth. If Trump’s agenda hits 3 percent GDP growth or above by 2018, then his critics — progressive shock troops, Democratic grandees, mainstream media, Never Trump Republicans — will either shift strategies or face prolonged irrelevance. But for now, ending Trump one way or another is apparently the tortured pathway his critics are taking to exit their self-created labyrinth of irrelevance.

Yes, Anti-Trump Republicans Deserve To Be Blacklisted

Those individuals who openly supported Hillary Clinton by signing the New York Times letter showed themselves to be political opportunists and elitists, not committed limited government constitutional conservatives, and if the Trump team has a blacklist, as far as millions of grassroots conservatives are concerned that’s OK, because their exile should be permanent.

Mr. Trump: Remember the Snake? #NeverRomney #NeverCorker

History tells us that the idea of bringing your political enemies into your inner councils is the pathway to failure. Donald Trump must make a clean break with the Republican Quislings, like Mitt Romney and Bob Corker, who enabled Obama to advance his agenda.

NeverTrumpers Redeemable or Irrelevant?

It appears to us the #NeverTrump cabal had two kinds of members; those who honestly could not bring themselves to support Donald Trump because of his past personal conduct, and those who are actually closer to Hillary Clinton ideologically and opposed Donald Trump because they support amnesty for illegal aliens, open borders, Big Government, a no-win foreign policy or are wilfully blind to the Islamist threat.

Please tell us what you think: Who among the #NeverTrumpers are Redeemable and who are now Irrelevent?

Trump Wins — Time to End the Republican Civil War

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

Everyone has to eat a little humble pie, those of us on the winning side and those of us who saw Donald Trump as a threat to our country and our party. That said, one thing must be stipulated. Donald Trump did something absolutely extraordinary and unique in the history of American politics, maybe of all politics.  With practically every power source in our country aligned against him, including many of the leaders and thinkers of his own party, he won the presidency of the United States without ever having served in an office of any kind.

The Moral Laziness of the #NeverTrumpers

D.C. McAllister, PJ Media

Moral laziness is not what we need in these final hours. Are you willing to put others before your own reputation, your own fears of how you will be judged in the future? If you haven’t voted yet, I urge you to contemplate that question with the seriousness and sobriety it deserves.

Republicans fighting to stop Hillary won't forget those who didn't help

Laura Ingraham, Lifezette

Win or lose, everyone who has been a part of this cause — everyone who has spread the truth about the Clintons on social media, defended Trump against the attacks that were hideously unfair, knocked on doors, posted signs, prayed for the country, or even just checked their favorite links day after day for the latest news — will remember who fought with them. Just as importantly, they'll remember who wanted them to lose.
