Certainly, a nuclear-armed ICBM-equipped North Korea or Iran is intolerable to our interests and to the future of western civilization. The question for President Trump is at what point do the other options available to stop the threat be judged failures?

Mr. Outside and Mr. Inside at the Department of State?

The nomination of “Mr. Outside,” Rex Tillerson, as Secretary of State would mark the fulfillment of another important campaign promise by President-elect Trump. However, to fulfill his promise to drain the swamp at the State Department Donald Trump needs a “Mr. Inside.” Although it may be a difficult pill for some of our fellow non-interventionists to swallow, we can think of no one more qualified for that role than Ambassador John Bolton.

U.S. Should Choose Allies Which Benefit America

Instead of relentlessly collecting more international dependents, Washington policymakers should drop Allies In Name Only (AINOs). More important, America faces no hegemonic threat or peer competitor and is allied with every major industrialized state other than China and Russia.

Obama and McCain Heading Us Toward War in Syria

McCain, Graham and Corker would like Americans to believe that a “very surgical and responsible” intervention won’t involve American troops or “boots on the ground.” We doubt that fits the reality of what it would take to secure one of the largest chemical weapons stockpiles in the world. If we intervene, then someone is going to have to follow-up on the ground to make sure the chemical weapons are secured -- and that someone is logically the American military.
