Speaker Paul Ryan
Speaker Paul Ryan is the leader of the majority party in the House of Representatives and the only person who has the authority to direct Republicans to use the power of the purse to mandate DHS focus on attacking Islamic terrorism and jihad, rather than throwing millions more dollars at the failed strategy of “countering violent extremism.”
Paul Ryan likes to imagine himself as the inheritor of Jack Kemp’s brand of pro-growth economic conservatism, but he has missed the essential element of Kemp’s appeal – his willingness to fight for conservative principles, even at the cost of his standing with the Republican establishment leadership and Ronald Reagan himself.
Establishment Republicans, increasingly desperate to derail Trump’s candidacy, seem completely unable to understand how they have made Trump’s rise possible. To simplify it for Speaker Ryan (and Mitch McConnell and all the lobbyists on DC’s K Street) Trump is winning because he’s running against you, not Hillary Clinton; he’s running against your failure to put so much as speed bump in the road of Obama’s fundamental transformation of America.
Speaker Ryan is completely tone deaf to what is driving the outsider candidacies of Ted Cruz and Donald Trump. They are not winning the Republican Primaries by campaigning against Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders – they are winning by campaigning against Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell, John Boehner, Reince Priebus and the rest of the feckless, principle-free Capitol Hill Republican leaders. Ryan’s plan for this year’s budget will only fuel their candidacies.
Speaker Ryan recently admonished the House Freedom Caucus and later spoke to Heritage Action, calling on conservatives to put their principles on hold in 2016. Ryan’s position is a betrayal of conservatives, say 89% of those responding to the poll. Removing Ryan as Speaker has 84% support according to the poll.
This graphic image of the murdered victims of the jihadi attack on the Bataclan concert hall in Paris is real. As the entirely predictable story of the role of so-called Syrian refugees in the Paris attacks unfolds, the Capitol Hill Republican establishment can no longer act like they don’t understand the danger of bringing another jihadi attack to America that Obama's Muslim immigration policies pose. The ultimate test of the legitimacy of any government is whether or not it has the consent of the governed, and acts in their best interest. Republican leaders on Capitol Hill now face that test.
Will GOP Presidential Candidates Debate Speaker Ryan’s Bill To Open The Legal Immigration Floodgates?
We urge you to let the Republican presidential candidates know you oppose any move by Speaker Ryan to open the legal immigration floodgates. We also urge you to call your Representative and Senators, the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044, tell them you oppose H.R. 3918. Send them the message that you want Congress to put American workers back to work before admitting even more foreign “guest workers” who will lower wages and continue the erosion of the quality of life for millions of native born American workers and their families.
Far from being a new day, the highway bill looks like the same Big Government Republican snake oil of John Boehner presented by a somewhat more attractive and articulate huckster. Congress needs to hear from the grassroots that what we want is for Republicans to do what we sent them to Washington to do: Stop Obama's Liberal Transformation of America. Please sign the petition to let Paul Ryan know you want Republicans to concentrate on stopping Obama’s agenda, instead of giving him another gimmicky bailout of a failed spending program.
Read past the middle of the article as Lefty Bill Moyers peels back the onion on new Speaker Paul Ryan's crony government ties and the picture isn't pretty. Moyers reveals Ryan is a creature of Washington, and despite his ideological kinship with the anti-government crowd, Paul Ryan is the embodiment of the troika of money, power and politics that corrupts and controls the capital, the very thing the tea partiers detest.
