Washington cartel

The Carly Factor

Ted Cruz's decision to make Carly Fiorina his running mate would seem to preclude a grand populist - conservative alliance to break the Washington Cartel. Now the Republican National Convention will be a three army battle in which Trump’s populists, Cruz’s movement conservatives and the dark forces of the Republican establishment all vie against each other for dominance and the Republican nomination for president, and at this point no one can predict which way the battle will turn.

Trump and Cruz Getting Suckered into Destroying Each Other

The “War on the Wives” between Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, that has grown increasingly cruel over the past week, should have conservatives and their populist allies asking “Cui bono?” an old Latin legal term meaning “Who benefits?” from the hostility that now threatens the hoped-for anti-establishment alliance at the Republican National Convention.

NEWT NAILS THE WASHINGTON INSIDER PROBLEM

Jeffery Lord, The American Spectator

For a vivid illustration of the difference between the elitist, haughty thinking of the American Ruling Class (as unerringly described in Angelo Codevilla’s The Ruling Class) and those who, like Newt, have not lost their ability to connect with (Codevilla again) the “Country Class” — i.e., the American people — the interview is priceless.

Arizona and Utah Primaries: Cruz is the Best Candidate to Beat Hillary

In Ted Cruz conservatives don’t have to wonder where he stands on the conservative cultural agenda or on battling the Washington Cartel. We contrast that with his chief opponent, Donald Trump, who has not only flip-flopped on many issues of concern to conservatives, but in many respects is the poster boy for the kind of crony government that spawned the Tea Party rebellion.

Establishment Loses 4 Out of 5 – Who Best to Defeat Hillary?

The failure of Trump’s last minute rampage through Ohio where he spent Election Day attacking Kasich on Twitter even as his campaign had one of its most effective ads pulled because the disclaimer was incorrect showed some of the limits of Trump as a candidate and his campaign as a vehicle to defeat Hillary Clinton.

Vote for Ted Cruz Like The Future Of Your Country Depends Upon It

What the Republican establishment fears more than anything, including a Donald Trump nomination, is that when Ted Cruz wins he brings more than a new Republican administration to power – he brings us – the limited government constitutional conservative movement to power.

The Most Important Question Donald Trump Must Answer Tonight

The attitude that everything is negotiable is at its core is why conservatives have come to despise the current establishment Republican leadership on Capitol Hill and celebrate Senator Cruz as the leader of principled constitutional conservatives in Congress. Mr. Trump remains an effective message carrier for grassroots frustration with Washington, but he has yet to tell conservatives what he would actually do if elected and answer the most important question of the campaign; “change to what?”

Dole Endorses Bush – Big Government GOP Desperate To Save Jeb's Failing Campaign

Bob Dole supported the passage of Obamacare. If you connect the dots, and the Washington Cartel money, there’s a straight line from the Big Government Republicans, like Bob Dole, who also supported the George H.W. Bush tax increase that broke his “read my lips” pledge and led to his defeat, to the content-free campaign of 1996, to the Big Business – Big Government axis of Chamber of Commerce money supporting Jeb Bush, to yesterday's Bob Dole endorsement of Jeb Bush.
