Primary Opposition Organizes Against CRomnibus Supporter Diane Black (R-TN-6)

Rep. Diane Black

Big Government Republican Diane Black (TN-6) may be the first casualty of CHQ Chairman Richard A. Viguere’s call to “primary every boneless wonder who votes for the CRomnibus.”

Organizers of BEAT DIANE BLACK are hosting a Christmas Party from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. tomorrow, December 20, at the Cracker Barrel, 213 Indian Lake Blvd., Hendersonville, TN. The organizational effort is being led by The Real Conservatives National Committee.

The Real Conservatives National Committee was the organizer of the BEAT LAMAR grassroots effort against Big Government Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee. While ultimately unsuccessful, Alexander lost the counties where the group focused its grassroots efforts, demonstrating the power of its techniques when properly focused and funded.

And Representative Black is certainly ripe for defeat in Tennessee’s conservative Congressional District 6.

As our friend Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation, observed in a recent article for The Washington Times, “Conservatives are angry about the so-called ‘CRomnibus’ spending bill that was just passed by the Congress. Many are calling it the ‘cronybus’ bill because it seems everything in that bill was designed to help everyone but real Americans.”

Members of Congress get a $1,000 a month for a car allowance.

Bankers could get a $303 trillion bailout if derivatives go south again.

Congress upped the limit wealth donors could give to politicians and political parties from $32,000 a year to $1.55 million for a couple.

The CRomnibus funds Obamacare and does not do anything about President Obama’s executive amnesty for illegal immigrants.

Ms. Black was elected to Congress in the Tea Party wave of 2010. Although she does claim membership in the Tea Party caucus, Judson Phillips says “it would be an act of absolute fiction to call her a Tea Party politician. To call her a conservative is a bit of a stretch. Heritage Action gave her the second-lowest score of any members of the Tennessee Republican House delegation for the 113th Congress.”

But voting for the CRomnibus isn’t Black’s only betrayal of conservative principles.

Black, a member of the House Budget Committee, voted yes on the Ryan – Murray budget deal after helping negotiate it as part of a specially appointed House-Senate panel.

The budget agreement claims to reduce government deficits by $85 billion over 10 years. The reality is that in short term it increased spending by $63 billion and the CRomnibus just blew through the spending cap making any future savings unlikely.

At the time the Ryan – Murray spending plan passed Tea Party movement supporters called it a cave-in to Obama and the Democrats and criticized Black and other House Republicans from Tennessee who voted for the measure.

Now they are taking action against Diane Black’s record of supporting Washington’s Big Government Republicanism and you can join the fight.

We urge you to go to BEAT DIANE BLACK and make a contribution or sign-up to attend a meeting. And we especially urge you to go to our article “ “Will You Fire The First Shot In The Battle To Govern America According To Conservative Principles?” copy the letter to the editor and send it to newspapers, especially in Diane Black’s district. Show Representative Black and other Republicans who voted for the "CRomnibus" that you are on to their lies and you won’t be “Grubered” by the Republican establishment.
