Activists Not Impressed by Trump
Most respondents to our CHQ Poll think a Trump endorsement does not matter, or hurts. Only about a third think a Trump endorsement helps the candidate.
We asked you: “Donald Trump is expected to endorse Newt Gingrich today. Will this help or hurt Gingrich’s presidential campaign?”
Of course The Donald ended up endorsing Mitt Romney and firing Gingrich as his candidate, but you got the picture. This question was really about Trump and the impact of his endorsement on whichever candidate he endorsed.

Message to Newt: You have bigger challenges than losing Trump’s endorsement. Message to Mitt: With endorsements like this, you’re going to have to win the nomination on your own.

Mitt was already discredited by his pro-abortion past and the Bain Capital fiasco. You might say this is the third strike and he should subsequently be out. Rush is right - Rick is the only real conservative remaining worth our vote for the Presidency. Santorum for President, 2012!
