Cuccinelli Launches New Video: Announces "Super Saturday" Grassroots Campaign

Ken Cuccinelli
Virginia’s principled limited government constitutional conservative Attorney General – and Republican candidate for Governor – has begun a new daily video briefing for supporters by announcing “Super Saturday” to ramp-up his grassroots campaign and bring his positive message to Virginia one voter at a time.

Cuccinelli has been fighting a swarm of negative ads sponsored by liberal organizations, such as Tom Steyer, the environmentalist billionaire who has mounted a national campaign opposing the Keystone XL pipeline. According to POLITICO, Steyer directed his political operation to spend heavily in the Virginia governor’s race in support of Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

Steyer, a California-based financier, launched series of television ads starting in early August. The paid-media blitz from his group, NextGen Climate Action, will be the opening salvo in what’s expected to be a much larger effort aimed at mobilizing and turning out climate-oriented voters and other leftwing activists to support Democrat Terry McAuliffe.

Cuccinelli's supporters, who do not expect him to match McAuliffe and his liberal supporters dollar-for-dollar in the media war, have countered by working to energize grassroots conservatives and Tea Party oriented voters while working to get national conservative interest groups and PACs to motivate their supporters and hit McAuliffe for his hard-left positions on abortion, the environment and his scandal-plagued business dealings.
