GOP Reps Tom Price and Ted Yoho Are "Grubering" Voters on Amnesty

Yoho and Price
Representatives Tom Price (GA-6) and Ted Yoho (FL-3) haven’t said it yet, but like Obama White House advisor Jonathan Gruber they are relying on what they presume to be the “stupidity of the American voter” to pull a fast one and pass a bill that funds President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty while claiming to oppose allowing millions of illegal aliens to stay and work in the United States.
In much the same vein as the promise “if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor,” Yoho's HR 5759, the “Executive Amnesty Prevention Act” actually does the opposite of what its title claims and does nothing to stop President Obama from granting amnesty to millions of illegal aliens.
Instead, the Yoho -- Price proposal funds the Department of Homeland Security through March with the funds necessary to begin implementation of President Obama’s planned amnesty – a plan that will open the way for illegal aliens to legally compete with Americans for jobs and to obtain Social Security, Medicare and other government benefits.
There is only one way to prevent President Obama from implementing his plan, and that is for Congress to use the power of the purse the Framers of the Constitution vested in the House to prohibit the executive branch from spending any funds on carrying out this illegal scheme. As Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama noted in a recent statement, “This is a perfectly sound and routine application of congressional authority. In fact, the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service reports that last year’s omnibus spending bill included 16 such funding restrictions on fee-based programs.”
The plan now being circulated in the House by Congressmen Price and Yoho fails to meet that test. The executive amnesty language is substantially weaker than the language the House adopted just this past summer, and does it not prohibit the central tenets of the President’s plan: work permits, Social Security, and Medicare for some 5 million illegal immigrants—reducing wages, jobs, and benefits for Americans.

It is time for Tom Price and Ted Yoho to stop trying to pull a “Gruber” for the cheap labor wing of the business community and stand for America’s hard-pressed taxpayers and working families in Florida and Georgia whose economic future will be devastated by President Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty plan.

We urge you to call Congressmen Yoho and Price (the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) and tell them you are on to the game and that they should stop trying to “Gruber” voters and pass a bill that actually defunds Obama’s unconstitutional amnesty plan and prohibits the President from granting work permits, Social Security, and Medicare to some 5 million illegal immigrants—reducing wages, jobs, and benefits for Americans.

I am shocked to see Steve Palazzo's name on that list. I guess one never ever truly can believe any politician.

The fact of the matter here is already known and I repeat:
