Trump and Cruz Won Tuesday’s GOP Debate, Establishment Candidates Clear Losers

Donald Trump and Ted Cruz were big winners in Tuesday’s Republican presidential debate according to a poll of conservatives conducted by FedUp PAC.

Trump was named the winner of the debate by 39%, while 31% chose Cruz, the Senator from Texas.  Only 9% saw Florida Senator Marco Rubio coming out on top, while 7% picked Dr. Ben Carson.  No other candidate Donald Trump Ted Cruzreached 5%.

The results left no doubt that conservatives continue to reject the old, established leadership of the GOP, looking to candidates whose words and deeds demonstrate an eagerness to overturn the radical agenda of the Obama administration rather than accommodate it.

Trump appears to have impressed debate watchers by his refusal to back down from his pro-American policies despite intense criticism from the news media and many Republicans.  His promise of an America that would be much tougher and stronger answered the serious concerns that followed the San Bernardino terrorist attack.

Cruz struck the same note with his promise of an America First foreign policy and his opening remarks in which he recognized that the threat to America is from radical Islamic terrorists.  He denounced the political correctness that has handcuffed Obama’s anti-terrorism efforts.

The online poll was conducted Wednesday evening, the day after the debate.

FedUp PAC is a grass roots organization that wants constitutional conservatives to take over the GOP because Americans are fed up with the Republican establishment.  It is not affiliated with any candidate or committee.
