In Memoriam: Admiral James “Ace” Lyons (USN Ret.)

Yesterday, with the death of Admiral James “Ace” Lyons America lost a warrior of uncommon clarity of thought and directness of speech and action.

Admiral Lyons’ career in the Navy spanned thirty-six years, from his days as a midshipman at Annapolis to service as Commander in Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet (at that time the largest single military command in Admiral Lyonsthe world), Senior U.S. Military Representative to the United Nations and Deputy Chief of Naval Operations.

Although his interests and post-service commentary spanned the gamut of national security and defense issues, I became acquainted with Admiral Lyons through our mutual interest in motivating American policy makers to recognize, fight and win the war Islam has declared on the West.

One of the great moments of clarity Lyons shared with me, and anyone else who would listen, was this:

“You must understand,” said Lyons, “Islam is a totalitarian ideology bent on world domination masquerading as a religion.

And Admiral Lyons wasn’t bashful about explaining exactly how Islam would affect that world domination:

…it’s an insidious thing that has gone on here, and as we see over the years the penetration of the Muslim Brotherhood, their front organization, has increased, increased, increased, and it’s at the pit, really, of the stupid restricted rules of engagement that we imposed on our wonderful military, sacrificing their lives in the failed hope of winning the hearts and minds of a tribal society. This is nuts. But, again, who ruled the day? Political correctness.

Ace Lyons regularly spoke against what he termed “social engineering” within the U.S. military. In his view, political correctness, particularly pro-Islamic political correctness, is undermining not only America’s ability to fight, but America’s ability to keep her troops alive in combat.

One of the greater threats, Lyons said, is from the Muslim Brotherhood, which he argued has infiltrated America’s national security apparatus. “But the most insidious is by the Muslim Brotherhood, who have penetrated our national security and intelligence agencies for over the last 50 years,” he said. “Through their seditious actions there’s no question they should be termed a terrorist organization along with all of their front groups.”

Lyons was pilloried in the Leftwing media for his clear and direct statements criticizing the failures of Obama’s policies toward the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamist front organizations, but he was right.

The Investigative Project on Terrorism provided a detailed analysis of several members of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) who were official advisors to the Obama White House or various agencies within the Obama administration.

And while the establishment media took potshots at Lyons for his warning about the threat of Muslim Brotherhood infiltration, President Barack Obama invited a number of radical Muslim leaders to the White House to discuss “‘anti-Muslim bigotry’ and banned Muslim terrorist profiling by federal law enforcement.”

Thanks to those policies, dozens of Americans died in domestic Muslim terror attacks during Obama’s eight years in the White House.

But, said Lyons, this penetration of the United States government by Islamists and the Muslim Brotherhood, and with it the institutionalized deception about what Islam really is, didn’t start with Obama, it went back many years:

It goes all the way back to the Carter Administration and the rise of Islamic fundamentalism. We could have cut it off at its knees right then. I was the director of political and military affairs when the Khomenei regime took our Embassy in Tehran. The chairman called me up and said ‘What can we do?’ I said, ‘I’ll tell you what we’re going to do. We’re going to take Kharg Island and we’re going to do with a bunch of SEALs and special forces.’ We could have walked in and we’d have had them by the gonads. We would have knocked the legs from right out from under them. And of course our illustrious naval academy graduate [President Jimmy Carter] rejected that out of hand. And we had the follow on kidnappings, murder of our CIA station chief, and leading up to April 1983, when they blew up our Embassy. And that was followed by our Marine Barracks blowup…

Ace Lyons was at the center of fighting the war Islam declared on the West while on active duty and in retirement.

To that end Admiral Lyons shocked some in the retired flag officer fraternity by reminding officers that their sworn duty, first and foremost is to defend the Constitution, and that he was of the opinion that the deteriorating situation within the military during the Obama years was so critical that even active duty officers and personnel had no choice but to speak out.

Admiral Lyons has fought his last battle, but he called us with clarity to fight and win the existential war with Islam in which our country and our civilization are now engaged, in that spirit let us remember him with a verse from an ancient prayer for victory in battle:

O MOST powerful and glorious Lord God, the Lord of hosts, that rulest and commandest all things; Thou sittest in the throne judging right, and therefore we make our address to thy Divine Majesty in this our necessity, that thou wouldest take the cause into thine own hand, and judge between us and our enemies. Stir up thy strength, O Lord, and come and help us; for thou givest not alway the battle to the strong, but canst save by many or by few. O let not our sins now cry against us for vengeance; but hear us thy poor servants begging mercy, and imploring thy help, and that thou wouldest be a defence unto us against the face of the enemy. Be thou our Saviour and mighty Deliverer, and be thou the Saviour and Deliverer of our departed friend Admiral James Aloysius "Ace" Lyons Jr., through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Ace was my friend, my advisor, my mentor, and my gadfly. He walked like Popeye the Sailor and spoke--bellowed, sometimes--more like a Chief than a Flag. He dragged the Navy kicking and screaming into counterterrorism and he--unlike too many in Washington--never ever forgot or forgave those-Caspar Weinberger included--who shut down the operation he designed to take out the Iranian-sponsored and directed terrorists who blew up the Marine barracks at Beirut airport in October, 1983. He was a hard-charging, politically incorrect wooden ships and iron men Sailor; a Warrior who said what he meant and meant what he said. The time I got to spend with him--and Renee--was a gift from God. Miss you, Ace. Fair winds and following seas.

I really admire the Admiral for what he did to bring truth to light about who the muslim people are and how and why they operate the way they do. Why does our leadership in this nation NOT understand who they are??????? Someway, this nation and it's leaders need to take a month off and just go to school about the life of muhammad and what the quran is all about. They are really on the move, just like muhammad directed them to do and they have followed his ways and are still following his ways today and are winning. They need to be stopped

Adm. Lyons Passing

Agenda 2030 is running the show. The rest is Kabuki. The political ideology disguised as a religion known as Islam is the preferred soldier to bring in totaliarian rule and global domination by the globalists.
