Conservative Boat Rocker Laura Loomer Considering Run Congress In FL-21

Laura Loomer
Our friend Javier Manjarres, via his column on The Floridian, has alerted us to an exciting development in Florida politics – conservative rock star Laura Loomer is giving serious consideration to running against Far-Left Democrat Representative Lois Frankel (FL-21).

Mr. Manjarres reports the rumor was out there that “the controversial Loomer was mulling over a possible run for office, with some activists saying that decision was already made, and that an announcement was imminent, possibly during the first week of July.”

Javier Manjarres reached out to Laura Loomer for comment and asked her if she was going to run. Ms. Loomer stated that she was “giving it a lot of thought” and “thinking about doing it,” but added that she had not decided on what she was going to do. According to Mr. Manjarres reporting, Ms. Loomer added that she thinks she could defeat Lois Frankel in the general election.

Mr. Manjarres, founder of the Shark Tank website, a go-to source for insider information on Florida politics, has a longtime connection with Ms. Loomer, having in no small way helped launch her as an independent investigative journalist.

As Mr. Manjarres relates in his column, in some sense Ms. Loomer began her career in 2014 when she contacted him at the Shark Tank to tell him that Iman Nasir Ahmad, leader of the controversial Liberty City Mosque Masjid Al Ansar, repeatedly chanted Alluah Akbar during a memorial service at Barry University, one of the largest Catholic Universities in the country. Loomer was a Barry University senior at the time.

Since then Ms. Loomer went on to work with our friend James O’Keefe at Project Veritas, to be featured on a number of conservative websites, to have numerous articles posted to the Drudge Report, and to be one of social media’s most recognized conservative influencers – and it is in that role that Ms. Loomer received her greatest notoriety earning bans from Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, who banned her handle because she called out Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-5) for using anti-Semitic rhetoric when the now-congresswoman was campaigning for her congressional seat.

We first told CHQ readers about Laura Loomer in our article “Big Tech Election Meddling: Censoring Conservatives Right Before Election Day” and if she chooses to run for Congress we think what we said then would constitute good reasons to support her:

Ms. Loomer, a former reporter for our friends at Project Veritas and Rebel Media has an uncanny ability to unsettle Far Left figures by showing up and asking the kind of incisive questions the establishment media refuses to ask.

Her takedown of Muslim woman-beater and Deputy Chair of the Democratic National Committee Rep. Keith Ellison was a tour d’force of the kind of journalism that old-time reporters like ABC’s Sam Donaldson used to do – only Loomer does it to Democrats and liberals. Loomer’s persistent questioning caused Ellison to abandon several of his own events, looking like a deer in the headlights as he ran for his car.

Ms. Loomer also chased “get in their faces” Rep. Maxine Waters down the hall while persistently, but politely asking her about her comments encouraging people to harass Trump supporters. Waters of course refused to answer once she figured out Loomer was not a liberal hack and after pushing Loomer’s camera (and it looks to us like Loomer herself) Waters ducked into a “Members Only” elevator to escape. While Loomer didn’t get any answers to her questions, the visuals she got of Waters are expressions of pure evil and archive material for anyone looking to illustrate the soul of the modern radical Democratic Party.

Loomer’s latest target is the Democrats’ corrupt candidate for Governor of Florida, Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum. Gillum is counting on the reliable Democratic votes of Broward County, many of whom are Jewish, to put him over the top. Loomer, who is Jewish, was there along with Jacob Engels of the Central Florida Post to ask him about his anti-Semitic associations and statements.

Loomer staked-out Gillum at Temple Kol Ami in Plantation, Florida to question him, but was ejected from the synagogue by Gillum campaign operatives before she could ask him any questions.

After being removed, Loomer spoke to Big League Politics to decry the actions of the Gillum campaign.

As a Jewish woman, she said, she was infuriated at being removed from a place of worship for her faith:

“As a Jewish American woman, today’s events that took place inside the Synagogue deeply disturbed me,” Loomer stated. “I was removed for who I am, a Jewish conservative woman. It reminded me of the times in Nazi Germany when people like my Grandfather were arrested for being Jews.”

She then gave a warning to Jewish Floridians about Gillum:

“If one thing is clear to me today, it is that Hitler is reincarnated, and he is reincarnated as a black man running for governor of Florida, and his name is Andrew Gillum. To the Jews in Florida, you have been warned. Vote for Ron DeSantis.”

Not too long after getting tossed from the Gillum event, and just a week before the election, Loomer was suddenly banned from Twitter, for, get this, until the day after the election.

Loomer, who has gotten five Drudge headlines this year said the social media site had suspended her account until next week, after the 2018 midterms will be over.

“Over the last few months, we have all seen and experienced firsthand the liberal bias of Big tech social media companies like Twitter and Facebook,” Ms. Loomer wrote, later adding: “Conservatives like myself are being silenced and censored by Big tech. There is nowhere for Conservatives to go. We are being banned online in the middle of the midterm elections simply because we are conservative. Put simply, this is ELECTION MEDDLING.”

According to Javier Manjarres if she runs as a Republican, Trump supporter Laura Loomer will have to get past a primary election, where she will enter a field already crowded more than a year out from qualifying, that includes combat veteran Michael Bluemling, Jr, Christian Acosta, and Victor Garcia da Rosa. Although it is too early for an endorsement, we think seeing Laura Loomer debate her Democrat opponent during the campaign and question Democrat witnesses from the dais as a Member of Congress would inspire conservatives across the country.
