John Ratcliffe: A Good Choice For Director Of National Intelligence

Radcliffe Nominated
The post of Director of National Intelligence was created after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and oversees the 17 U.S. civilian and military intelligence agencies, including the Central Intelligence Agency.

Many conservatives and #MAGA patriots will figure that if President Trump’s selection of Rep. John Ratcliffe doesn’t sit well with the likes of Obama CIA Director John Brennan, then Ratcliffe must be a great choice.

So, when Brennan tweeted, “Dan Coats served ably & with deep integrity. Ratcliffe showed abject subservience to Trump in Mueller hearings. The women & men in the Intelligence Community deserve a leader like Coats who puts nation first; not a servile Trump loyalist like Ratcliffe” many conservatives figured ‘nuf said Ratcliffe is the right guy for the job.

But John Ratcliffe is much more than a Trump political loyalist.

A former U.S. attorney and mayor of Heath, Texas, a Dallas suburb, Ratcliffe also worked at a law firm run by former attorney general John Ashcroft, the conservative Senator and onetime presidential candidate from Missouri.

But, what we like about Ratcliffe is his incisive and probing intellect and his inside knowledge of how Muslim terrorism is financed and operates right here in America.

Democrats have jumped on Ratcliffe claiming that he inflated his resume and his involvement in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism financing trial in US history.

ABC News alleged in an article that Ratcliffe “misrepresented” and “embellished” his role in the case, even suggesting that he was not involved with it at all.

“ABC News could find no public court records that connect Ratcliffe to either of the two trials for the case,” the article claimed. “Former officials directly involved in the decade-long Holy Land Foundation investigation could not recall Ratcliffe having any role, and four former defense attorneys who served on the cases told ABC News on Monday they had no recollection of Ratcliffe being involved with any of the proceedings that resulted in the convictions of their clients.”

However, as The Federalist’s Sean Davis reported, a former federal prosecutor involved in the terrorism financing trial against the Holy Land Foundation confirmed that Ratcliffe did receive a special appointment as part of the case.

“John was appointed to look into allegations of potential misconduct involving a juror and one or more of the defendants in that case,” Nathan Garrett, a formal federal prosecutor who worked on the trial team, told The Federalist Tuesday morning. “John is a stellar lawyer, experienced national security prosecutor and leader, and a man of the highest character.”

Ratcliffe’s work on and familiarity with the Holy Land Foundation case is important, not just because it was a big complicated case, but because it exposed how terrorist-affiliated Islamist organizations, such as the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), are operating in plain sight in our country.

And it also exposed the extensive ties between open, public Islamist organizations such as CAIR and the violent military wings of the Muslim Brotherhood and other terrorist organizations that benefit from their fundraising, public relations, infiltration and lobbying.

The development of the relationships between the open and the clandestine Islamist organizations is a classic intelligence operation intended to undermine the US government, penetrate key government, social and cultural institutions and prepare the way for the growth of Islam and the eventual creation of a Sharia-compliant America.

That John Ratcliffe was on the inside of that case, is familiar with the organizations, their players and relationships is a huge advantage going into his role as DNI.

It is also not surprising that Obama-era operators like Brennan, the Left and the establishment media are strongly opposed to Ratcliffe’s nomination.

While they will cloak their opposition in charges of resume inflation, being a Trump loyalist or alleged lack of the requisite experience, the real reason they oppose Ratcliffe is he likely understands what we call the Red-Green Axis and just how deeply the establishment media, the Democratic Party and the Obama intelligence apparatus have been penetrated by Islamists.

The toll-free Capitol Switchboard is (1-866-220-0044), we urge CHQ readers and friends to call their Senators today to urge them to support and vote to confirm John Ratcliffe to be Director of National Intelligence.
