Dr. Anthony Fauci Is A Carpenter With Only One Tool

Fauci Testifies Remotely
Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Tuesday in testimony before the Senate that ending the anti-virus lockdowns now will result “in needless suffering and death.”

In his dire warnings (that not unexpectedly drew praise from Democrats who need unemployment to be at a high level to win this November's election), Dr. Fauci reminds me of a carpenter with only one tool – which in his case will be a clamp on the economy.

Dr. Fauci has spent his entire adult life, almost 50 years, focused on one thing only -- healing/saving lives. That's a good thing, but that's not what we need, expect, or want from our President.

Americans need leadership that looks at all the challenges facing our country – not just the coronavirus illness, frightening as it may be.

President Trump should reject Democrat calls to run the country on Dr. Fauci’s one problem – one tool approach. Trump must see the many other challenges facing our country: China, North Korea, rebuilding the economy and the human toll of a prolonged lockdown are just a few of the problems requiring different tools from the President’s toolbox and the President should be free to choose the right tool necessary to address each of them.

One Tool is Not Enough

Real leaders need to take into account the full effect of measures to deal with the Chinese Virus. President Trump and Governors Kemp and DeSantis are displaying real leadership while Gretchen Whitmer is proving incapable of it.
