Michele Bachmann

I'm usually pretty good at explaining why people do what they do and think what they think. In fact, much of my career rested on exactly that skill.

It's in that context that the (relative)  lack of support for Michele Bachmann among Conservatives leaves me confused. There is not an issue - not one -on which I disagree with her. And, on top of that, she exudes the one quality I think we (Conservatives) need most. She's a fighter.

Is it really true that we hold the fact of her sex against her. I'm afraid I sometimes think so.

I have come to believe that Michele Bachmann could well turn out to be our Maggie Thatcher, offered up by Providence to us at precisely the time we need her most.

I hope you will reconsider and join me in backing this very special woman.

My problem with her is: She believes the PATRIOT ACT falls within the TEA PARTY peramiters and she wants to add admendments to the Constitution.

Bachmann's Negatives not on Policy...

The problems are leadership skills and staff selection.

She's been notorious for gaffes on the trail, which were all avoidable if a properly selected staff member were made responsible - conclusion - bad staff selection or believes she knows everything herself.

After first grabbing Ed Rollins as soon as she had enough cash, and allowing him to attack Palin when they should be allies, she then allowed herself to be charmed by the advance guy on her bus tour, the same Keith Nahigian who fed Dan Quayle the spelling cue cards including "PotatoE".

Finally cannot face facts, or cannot tell when her staff are lying to her. The NH crew went unpaid for a month, during which time they were frequently and gratuitously dissed by the new senior staff, and when they finally left en masse in disgust, after telling HQ staff that some of the team could be saved if outreach was done, they were again ignored, and the HQ staff told Bachmann all was well.

A fish rots from the head, and she doesn't seem to be in charge of her team or her destiny. That is why, regardless of good policies, she's toast.

Michele Bachmann

The fact that she voted for the Patriot act alone disqualifies her in my book.  The increasing militarization of our police and the government's spying on the citizens is just as important to me as Romney's flip-flopping on important issues like the 2nd amendment and most of the other candidates supporting the bailouts.

I will admit that aside from Bachmann's support of big government and the police state, I agree with her more than some of the other candidates, but why settle when I can vote for Ron Paul who holds every conservative credential that Bachmann holds AND THEN SOME.  Plus while everyone knows Ron Paul is a good Christian who ALWAYS walks the right path, he doesn't hit you over the head with it constantly like Bachmann does.

She voted to extend the

She voted to extend the unconstitutional Patriot Act.  Nuff said.

I would prefer to take more dramatic measures towards restoring freedom, reversing the debt and eliminating the U.S. killing machine, not grease the skids so the nation slides off into oblivion. Bachman NO Ron Paul YES
