Nearly 2 Out of Every 3 Voters Support Paul in New CHQ Presidential Straw Poll

Ron Paul can't be stopped. After reaching a record high last week, Paul set a new straw poll record, claiming the support from nearly two out of every three voters (64 percent). It's clear from this poll that the grassroots are hungry for real talk on cutting spending -- not just more empty rhetoric.

Herman Cain continued to plummet last week as yet another accusation of sexual harrasment was leveled against him. Yet, as Cain dropped, Michelle Bachmann rose. Will Bachmann be the torch bearer for Cain's failed campaign, or will a possible Cain endorsement of Newt Gingrich be what the former House Speaker needs to regain ground lost in his two-week slide?

Here is the full breakdown of last week's CHQ Presidential Straw Poll:

1. Ron Paul (64 percent; up 9 percent)
2. Newt Gingrich (13 percent; down 1 percent)
3. Michele Bachmann (10 percent; up 4 percent)
4. Herman Cain (5 percent; down 8 percent)
5. Rick Perry (2 percent; down 2 percent)
5. Mitt Romney (2 percent; down 1 percent)
5. Gary Johnson (2 percent; up 1 percent)
8. Rick Santorum (1 percent; no change)
9. Jon Huntsman (0 percent; no change)

** Other (2 percent; up 2 percent)

Will Cain's absence prove to be the boost Bachmann needs to put her back in the spotlight? Can Newt survive scrutiny from skeptical conservatives? Can Perry rebound after reshuffling his campaign staff? Only your votes will decide, so go vote now in's weekly GOP Presidential Straw Poll and decide their fates.

Honesty and Integrity - Rare in Government

Dr. Paul is the ONLY candidate I will vote for.  He is the only honest candidate in the race.  In my opinion, Gingrich is much worse than Obama.  Romney can't stick with a position once he has taken it.  Dr. Paul is the only candidate on either side that is actually serious about spending cuts and reducing the size of the government.  He is the only one that gives me hope for my children's future.  I will vote for Ron Paul even if I have to write him in.  Dr. Paul is the only candidate in my 40 years that has inspired me enough to campaign for them, let alone donate.  Now, I wear my RP gear everywhere and discuss with anybody interested.  I've donated several times, and will continue to do so.  I finally have hope that the country I love - but have become disgusted with - will turn back towards what it was truly intended to be.

We Ron Paul supporters are used to being marginalized, laughed at, mocked, called crazy, called Paulites, Paulistas, and Paulbots.  Some of us wear those labels proudly.  Call us what you will, there are enough of us this go around that you can no longer call us inconsequential.  I have one voice and one vote.  I hope come January that they start to realize there are millions more like me and we are all FED UP!

I hope you give Ron Paul a good look if you haven't already.  Whatever you do, please do your own research, make up your own mind - don't let the MSM do that for you, and vote your own conscience.  Don't pull a lever just on party basis.  If we continue to do that, they will never take us seriously and continue to give us unethical candidates so we can choose the lesser of two evils.

We need to change a lot of things in this country.  This is our time to take the first step.  Vote your conscience no matter who that may be.  For me, it is Ron Paul and Ron Paul ONLY!!!

Peace, love, integrity and honor in 2012!!

Peace,love,integrity and honor - yes

It has been much too long since we as Americans have had a chance to embrace a candidate with integrity and honor. We have that in Ron Paul totally. Ron Paul know the history of foreign entanglements and false economics. Ron Paul 2012 - the voice of reason.

Ron Paul &2012

If Ron Paul is the only person you will vote for then expect Obama to be re-elected.  I can understand your frustration, but some of Mr. Paul's positiona are untenable!  For example, he apparently wants the United States to return to a policy of Isolationism yet endorses "open borders."  How is that possible?  He says we should leave Iran alone and let this rogue nation develop a nuclear weapon if they want it and of course Iran just wants the device to have it and nothing else?  Get real.  His positions on the economy are reasonable enough and frankly, I would not mind the U.S. becoming more isolationist.  However in the grand scheme of things his platform will not get a majority of the American electorate to vote for it.  Sorry, but you can thank the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and Lyndon B. Johnson for ramming it through Congress. This one Act has led to a disastrous dissolution of an informed electorate.  Obama is living proof of that.  I personally am not satisfied with any of the Republican candiates myself, but if my candidate does not win the nomination I will not help in the re-election of an avowed marxist because I am upset over the Republican nominee.  You and others might keep one thing in mind.....Obama and his henchmen are the real ENEMY.  George Santayana once observed  ..."those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it."  Well, for me the re-election of a fraud would be repeating history and I will not repeat it!  I did not vote for Obama in 2008 and I will not vote for this political creature in 2012.  However, if Ron Paul is not the Republican nominee, I will still vote for the Republican nominee as he or she would have to be better than Obama!

Your Misconceptions About Ron Paul

You are sadly mistaken on most of what you stated. For one thing, Ron Paul does not support open borders. In a perfect world, people could go anywhere in the world without any hassle. However, knowing how far from perfect the world is, Ron Paul would put US troops on our southern border to keep the unsavory elements coming into this country illegally out, no matter who they are or what motivates them. As far as Iran having a nuclear weapon goes, Ron Paul has stated that he knows why they might want to obtain one, but that doesn't mean that he wants them to have one. Besides, they don't have a missile, nor any other  way to get it over here even if they did possess it. If Ron Paul thought that Iran was a serious threat, he would get a declaration of war from congress and we would go to war. He stated so in the last national security debate, which many seem to forget. As far as Israel goes, they would attack Iran if they saw a threat there, and US policy towards them shouldn't hamper them in their national defense efforts. Binyamin Netanyahu at one point stated that they didn't need our help, and implied that they would like their sovereignty respected by us. Anybody who says "Support the nominee no matter who he is" is probably somebody who wouldn't consider voting for Ron Paul in the primary, so consider the sources of information. Making sure that Iran doesn't obtain a nuclear weapon is going to require another war (probably undeclared), as well as another occupation and nation building operation which we cannot afford. We already have an ~ $15T debt, and we our economy is very poor at this time because of it. Our international excursions helped run up this bill, and another one in Iran at this time may cause China and other major countries to drop the US dollar, something that would devastate America like never before. Ron Paul is the best choice for 2012.

No matter what the MSM (mind control, propaganda, spin doctors) say:
