Trans-Pacific Partnership

Hillary Clinton’s Belated Victory Party

As well-intentioned and committed to his agenda as President Trump may be, he has failed to grasp that Paul Ryan's Omnibus spending bill does not fund his priorities, not because Ryan is an inept Speaker, but because he is on the other side.

What's Missing From CPAC

President Trump’s team reported great beginnings for his conservative agenda to the thousands of conservatives assembled at CPAC, however, something was definitely missing.

Phyllis Schlafly Says Primary Them! Announces #WhiteFlagCongress Townhall Meetings

In announcing the #WhiteFlagCongress campaign and townhall meeting series, Phyllis Schlafly, Founder and Chairman of the Board of the Eagle Forum, said, "At this pivotal moment in U.S. history, when our leaders ought to be standing stronger and fighting harder than ever for us - they've chosen to wave a white flag in the face of government overreach and overspending. The only thing that gets their attention is a primary! Every one of them is guilty until proven innocent! Primary Them!"

Marco Rubio’s Cynical Ploy on the Trans-Pacific Partnership

Marco Rubio has made a career out of talking a good game on the conservative agenda and then giving a charming puppy dog smile as he abandons that agenda and throws his support to Big Government anti-constitutional, anti-conservative policies.  He did it as a member of the Gang of Eight on amnesty, and he’s doing it once again as he “distances himself” from the TPP and pretends to mull the pros and cons of a bill that will destroy the quality of life for millions of American families. Help CHQ and Sen. Jeff Sessions Stop TPP and Preserve American Sovereignty

We urge you to call Congress TODAY; the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044, tell them Senator Jeff Sessions is right, TPP must be taken off Fast-Track and handled according to regular order so the working men and women of American won’t be forgotten again. Click here to sign our petition to support Senator Sessions and protect American sovereignty and jobs.

Senator Jeff Sessions is Right: Take TPP Off The Fast Track

Petition to Congressional Leadership: Take TPA Off the Fast Track

To: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan

Senator Jeff Sessions is right: There’s too much corporate welfare, too much cronyism and corrupt dealmaking, by the Washington cartel in the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Obama Liberal Says Trans-Pacific Partnership Is a Disaster

Ian Fletcher, Huffington Post

If the purely trade aspects weren't bad enough, the TPP is also a profoundly anti-democratic agreement which signs away our right to govern our own economy. Despite being nominally a "trade" agreement, it contains provisions which interfere with areas well beyond the bounds of trade.

Ian Hanchett, Breitbart

Kentucky Senator and GOP presidential candidate Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) argued that TPA is giving the president power on trade bills, some of which he says seem like “more of an outline of the bill” on Tuesday’s broadcast of “The Kuhner Report” on Boston’s WRKO. Rand, before the vote took place, stated, “I’ve been consistently against TPA and have voted against it from the beginning. I think that giving more authority to the president is precisely what we don’t need to be doing."

GOP moves Obama's trade agenda past key Senate hurdle

Ted Barrett and Athena Jones, CNN

The President's trade agenda scored a major victory Tuesday when the GOP-controlled Senate voted to advance a bill to allow "fast-track" approval of large international trade bills.

Establishment GOP Betrays Country Class Again; Primaries Are The Cure

From the Republican leadership’s devious ploy to fund Obama’s executive amnesty through the “CRomnibus,” to their refusal to defund Obamacare or executive amnesty, to their treasonous adoption of the legislation to give Obama a free hand to abandon U.S. opposition to Iran’s nuclear weapons program, and now their phony “free trade” argument in favor of a bill almost none of them read, the Capitol Hill Republican establishment has betrayed the principles – and the voters – that handed them back the majority in 2014.

The Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal faces big Senate vote today

The Week

The Senate is holding a crucial procedural vote on granting President Obama fast-track trade authority to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership pact with 11 other Pacific Rim nations. If 60 Senators vote in favor of the bill, it will almost certainly pass in the Senate on Wednesday, sending it to Obama's desk.

In an exclusive column on Breitbart, Senator Ted Cruz outlined the sleazy backroom deals, cronyism, corporate welfare and lies that have turned the current trade package into an attack on American workers and sovereignty, and away from the "free trade" traditionally favored by conservatives. Cruz says as things stand now he will have no choice but to vote "NO" on a bill that is of the lobbyist, by the lobbyist, and for the lobbyist – and at the expense of the taxpayers.

FLASH: TPA Goes Down -- For Now -- As Trade Bill Fails In The House

President Obama and his estblishment Republican allies suffered a major defeat to his secret Pacific Rim trade initiative Friday as House Democrats and populist conservatives joined forces to derail a key presidential priority and blocked the House from advancing — for now — the administration’s trade agenda. Republican leaders, who had backed the president’s trade initiative, pleaded with their conservative colleagues to support the deal to no avail. However, the victory is only temporary as leaders vowed to bring Trade Promotion Authority and its companion Trade Adjustment Assistance welfare bill back on Tuesday.

Paul Ryan: Now the Ugly Face of the GOP Establishment

Those conservatives who saw Paul Ryan and his fellow “young guns” as the vanguard of a new conservative House might profit from recalling the ending of George Orwell’s Animal Farm; “The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.” In his arrogant dismissal of conservative populist concerns about Obama’s secret trade deal, and especially in his angry advocacy of establishment Republican corporatism that would continue the destruction of the aspirations of America’s working families, the transformation of Paul Ryan seems complete.

Conservative Mike Flynn Earns Rep. Steve King Endorsement – Opposes TPA and TPP

“This is a rare chance for Illinoisans to elect a full spectrum Constitutional conservative to the House who will stand strong on principle,” said Rep. Steve King. “Mike will challenge anyone, including party leadership, if they are wrong on the issues. I hope Illinois voters of the 18th District will send a clear message to Washington by nominating Mike Flynn."

TPP Is Making for Strange Political Bedfellows

Sahil Kapur and Ben Brody, Bloomberg

The Senate approved TPA by a vote of 62-37 on May 22. The House may vote as early as Friday, and it's unclear if the votes are there, given broad Democratic opposition and some conservative skepticism about giving Obama authority to fast-track the trade pact. The issue has long united populist factions on the left and right in opposition, and that same dynamic appears to be playing out in the White House race, with candidates in both parties on both sides of the issue. Here's where the 2016 presidential hopefuls stand.

The TPP Trade Deal and World Government – Our Perspective

Principled limited government constitutional conservative Senator Jeff Sessions of Alabama has made clear a point we have been hammering on in several other contexts, especially the Corker bill on Iran’s nuclear weapons program and Obama’s executive amnesty program: these attacks on American sovereignty can only succeed if Congress cedes its power to President Obama, who has made no bones about his preference for multilateral world governance over American sovereignty.

CHQ and Rand Paul Come Out Swinging Against TPA and TPP

Rand Paul is right. TPA and TPP may have many positive economic benefits to America’s 21st Century economy – but how can anyone know or make an informed decision in the atmosphere of secrecy and deception fostered by Barack Obama and his establishment Republican facilitators on Capitol Hill? We urge CHQ readers to call their Senators and Representative (the Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044) to demand they vote “NO” on TPA and “NO” on the Trans Pacific Partnership unless and until their provisions are made public and disinterested studies of the economic benefits to American workers and quality of life are conducted.

Dems Scramble to Block 'New World Order'

Jerome R. Corsi, WND

Obama wants to 'fast track' (read: ram through Congress) authority for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, a sweeping job-killing, sovereignty-threatening plan disguised as a free-trade agreement.
