Diversity Reigns at Oscars. Tantrums Continue

L. Brent Bozell III and Tim Graham, CNS News

It's amazing that ABC broadcast an overlong Academy Awards show where no one mocked President Trump by name. There were just a few snarky remarks about walls, but that's pretty much it. It's equally bizarre that the Oscar for best picture went to "Green Book" — about overcoming segregation in the South — and the leftists came away angry! The hot hashtag used to be #OscarsSoWhite. That's not at all what the winners list looked like this year. These award shows no longer reward talent. They reward their very own brand of self-centered idiocy.

Academy Favorite 'Vice' Distorts History of Iraq War

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

"Vice" led the pack of Golden Globe nominations with six and is an early favorite for the Best Picture Oscar. So unfortunately, due to the biased state of our educational system, this could well make the movie the definitive statement on the Iraq War for a whole generation of ignorant young Americans. Otherwise, it wouldn't be worth commenting about. I won't be voting for this movie. I would also advise against seeing it. These people should not be rewarded for their execrable distortion of history.

Is Hollywood Dead?

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

Hollywood may not be entirely dead, but it's certainly dead for most conservatives. Few go to many movies and who can blame them? Fortunately for them, however, they're not missing much. They should be reassured that Hollywood isn't all that important anymore. Conservatives really do have something to worry about, but it's not entertainment. That's voluntary. It's education. That's not. I may vote in the Oscars this year, but I doubt that I'll watch them.
