Stop Impeachment Action: Visit Your Representative’s Local Office This Week

Members of Congress will be back in their Districts this week, so it will be a great opportunity for MAGA supporters and anyone who is just plain tired of the insanity in Washington to visit their Representative to tell him or her you agree with President Trump and Rep. Zeldin and you want Democrats to stop the impeachment insanity and get back to addressing the Nation’s real problems.

The Adam Schiff Empowerment Act

Byron York, Washington Examiner

The resolution gives Rep. Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, far-reaching power over the Trump impeachment proceedings. Speaker Nancy Pelosi remains the ultimate authority, of course, but, like a chairman of the board choosing a chief executive officer, she has picked Schiff to run the show. And in the resolution, Democrats gave him near-total control. In the end, Republicans expect Democrats to hold a small number of public hearings, picking a few of the witnesses they believe will be most effective on television and excluding the rest. It will all be run by Schiff, who will be "the sole arbiter of everything impeachment."

Fact-Free Impeachment

Even the selective leaks emanating from Schiff’s secret dungeon have not set forth facts that support any claim of criminal conduct by President Trump. What is going on here is the criminalization of policy differences and the creation of a process to legitimize the raw hatred Democrats and the permanent political class have for Donald Trump.

Calling Pelosi and Schiff’s bluff

Betsy McCaughey, New York Post

Additional witnesses are scheduled to appear before Schiff’s committee later this week. But they will offer more of the same. “It’s always people who talked to people who have talked to other people who think that he might have meant this,” says Rep. Mark Meadows, an intelligence-committee member witnessing the charade. The public isn’t stupid, and Pelosi is a far better politician than Schiff. Polls show fewer than half of voters supporting impeachment in key swing states like Wisconsin, Florida, Pennsylvania and Michigan. These are states Trump won in 2016, and Pelosi has been reluctant to put Democratic members from these states on the spot. Trump called her bluff.

Schiff’s Un-American Impeachment Resolution

Our comparison of how impeachment was handled in the past versus the resolution the Democrats will vote on today making Rep. Adam Schiff the prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner shows this process is a sham. The process is not intended to get to the facts, because the President did nothing wrong, instead, today's vote clarifies that the goal has always been to create a narrative to frame the President.

Call These Vulnerable Democrats, Tell Them To Vote NO On Schiff’s Un-American Impeachment Rules

There are 31 Democrat members of Congress who represent districts that President Trump carried in 2016. We urge CHQ readers and friends to call those Democrats to tell them that, when Election Day 2020 rolls around, their District’s conservative voters will remember if they voted to help Adam Schiff frame President Trump and will hold them accountable at the ballot box.

How The Establishment Media Is Helping Schiff Promote Impeachment

Schiff and the Democrats are counting on the establishment media’s willingness to rely on anonymous sources as a central element of their strategy to get President Trump. Keeping the impeachment inquiry behind closed doors means journalists will gobble-up anonymous leaks; the result is a deluge of hearsay reporting that allows Schiff and the Democrats to shape the narrative and stymie any fact-based defense from President Trump.

Schiff pushed Volker to say Ukraine felt pressure from Trump

Byron York, Washington Examiner

In a secret interview, Rep. Adam Schiff pressed former United States special representative to Ukraine Kurt Volker to testify that Ukrainian officials felt pressured to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden's son Hunter as a result of Trump withholding U.S. military aid to Ukraine. Volker denied that was the case, noting that Ukrainian leaders did not even know the aid was being withheld and that they believed their relationship with the U.S. was moving along satisfactorily, without them having done anything Trump mentioned in his notorious July 25 phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Vile Democrat Adam Schiff Draws Opponent: California Super Lawyer Eric Early

In launching his campaign Mr. Early said, “Adam Schiff’s witch-hunt against our President is reprehensible. Schiff continually abuses his power and misleads the American people, wasting tens of millions of our dollars in the process. It’s got to stop. I’m sick and tired of being lied to by career politician Schiff as he tries to destroy the President and works to replace our Democracy with Socialism."

Mitch McConnell Goes Into Full Killer Turtle Mode On Impeachment

Senator McConnell’s stinging remarks about impeachment were long overdue, and will no doubt be seen by many as some sort of milestone in the impeachment battle – and well they might prove to be if they are followed up with action. One action Senator McConnell could take is to move the Senate to immediately dismiss the charges if they are ever brought.

126 Conservative Leaders Denounce Attempts to Impeach President Trump

126 participants in the Conservative Action Project have released a letter to Congress saying it is becoming increasingly clear that this march toward impeachment is nothing more than a partisan coup d’état to overturn the 2016 election and prevent voters from making their own decision as to whether to reelect the president in 2020.

Adam Schiff should be forced to take oath before every hearing

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

Henceforth, Mr. Schiff should be forced to stand and swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth if he wants to participate in any future hearings. As usual, Democrats accused Mr. Trump of a cover-up. Of what exactly? A cover-up of a non-crime? Did he attempt to cover up the simple fact that he was doing his job? At any rate, it is hard to accuse Mr. Trump of a cover-up when he is the one who unilaterally declassified the transcript of his call with the Ukrainian president as well as the official complaint by the hearsay gossip “whistleblower.” Certainly, if Mr. Trump is running a cover-up here, he is doing a very bad job of it.

Flynn Tells Schiff To Pound Sand And Read Watkins v. United States

We applaud attorney Sidney Powell for reminding Americans and Congress of the Watkins case. The Watkins case is the kind of “have you no shame Senator” case that Democrat civil libertarians used to applaud. But that Democratic Party is long dead and in its place are monsters like Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler who thrive on the abuses of power that the Watkins decision was thought to have eliminated.

Trump Is Right To Play Hardball With Dems

“Bipartisanship” can’t be a one-off arrangement; Democrats must recognize President Trump’s legitimacy and debate the details of legislation in good faith, or President Trump is perfectly justified in refusing cooperation with them on infrastructure or any other issue.

Thelma Nadler and Louise Schiff

David Catron, The American Spectator

If House Democrats like Jerrold Nadler and Adam Schiff continue to mine the Mueller report for presidential malfeasance and conduct multiple investigations into Trump’s business and tax matters, the effect on Democratic electoral prospects will be comparable to the damage done to that dusty T-Bird after Louise stomps on the gas. The electorate has had enough of collusion conspiracy theorists and Trump truthers. This is reflected in the latest public opinion polls as well as the ratings of cable networks that continue to push the most implausible narratives of White House skullduggery.

Media amplified Schiff's voice, shouted down the truth

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

Lying politicians are not the only ones deserving our contempt and scorn. Merchants of lies in the media deserve even more contempt and scorn. The New York Times and The Washington Post led the way. Dunces at CNN and MSNBC trotted right behind. Used to be that reporters took enormous pride in the depth of their skepticism. They would talk about how finely tuned their “BS-detectors” are. They had a nose for when somebody was peddling lies. All that evaporated in the Age of Trump, when anything goes — so long as it slimes the president.

Sharyl Attkisson: The Government Has Rigged The Rules To Avoid Accountability

After years without turning over a single document in response to dozens of Sharyl Attkisson’s subpoenas, the government now argues that her case should be dismissed, in part, because she hasn’t learned the names of the “John Doe” federal agents to insert in the lawsuit; names which only the government knows and has refused to divulge.

New Poll: Most Americans Believe the Government Spies on Journalists, Like Sharyl Attkisson

A new poll from Rasmussen Reports confirms the damage done by the Obama-era abuses by the FBI and other intelligence agencies and gives further evidence that Americans are on the side of investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson and others who are trying to rip the veil of secrecy off Obama’s domestic spying operations.

White House Nails Democrat Memo On Spying Scandal #HeadsMustRoll

The White House press office termed the Democratic effort “nothing more than a hyper-partisan effort to obscure and deflect from deeply troubling potential abuses of the FISA court brought to light by Intelligence Committee Republicans” and we would have to agree.

Fighting Russian Interference In American Politics

It shouldn’t take a Special Counsel investigation to identify and expose Russian activities we know have been going on for a century.  It is time for America to get back in the counterintelligence fight by cleaning house and getting rid of incompetent counterintelligence operatives such as the FBI's Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, and it is time for Congress, as it did with the HUAC investigations, to plumb the full depth of Russian efforts to sow discord in our country.
