Women's March shrinks to a mere 10K Trump haters who can't acknowledge the president's successes

Tammy Bruce, Washington Times

The same people who convinced women to go to Washington to march because Mr. Trump was going to build sex-slave concentration camps for them also told us that if Mr. Trump were elected, then the stock market was going to crash and that he was going to start World War III. Instead, we are enjoying a historic economic renaissance and the president’s foreign policy has destroyed the Islamic State, killed terrorist leaders, while using global diplomacy and economic “maximum pressure” to control rogue and terrorist regimes. On its face, it’s clear the Democratic Party and their leftist enablers don’t think much of women. Their rhetoric and manipulation presume women are shallow, uninformed and vapid creatures.

How Far Left Will Democrats Push Virginia?

John McCormack, National Review

One potential break on the legislature’s progressive ambitions is the reluctance of Senate Democrats, who only control the upper chamber 21–19, to push the envelope too far. Senate Democratic fears of a backlash among voters outside of Northern Virginia could be detected last week when Virginia’s Senate Judiciary Committee killed an assault-weapons ban. But Virginia Republicans caution that a slightly watered-down version of the ban is still very much alive in the House of Delegates. Three weeks isn’t much time for Democrats to pass their wish list of left-wing bills, but it could certainly be enough time. Conservatives must hope that the potential long-term political consequences deter them from doing so.

H. L. Richardson Rode Shotgun for the Reagan Revolution in California

John Fund, National Review

H. L. Richardson, one of the last prominent California Republicans from the era when Ronald Reagan was governor, died this month at age 92. He helped catapult conservative politics to a new level of sophistication. Richardson didn’t give a hoot about political correctness. He was one of the funniest, most effervescent, and most candid politicians I ever knew. Richardson pioneered a form of grassroots politics in California that proved to be revolutionary. In the 1970s, he grew concerned that Second Amendment rights were being eroded, so he founded Gun Owners of California to pressure his legislative colleagues. With the help of mail specialist Richard Viguerie, he perfected direct-mail appeals to gun owners that brought in millions of dollars in small donations. He then put those dollars to good use.

In Memoriam: H.L. “Bill” Richardson, Founder of Gun Owners of America

By Richard A Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
My old friend and client, California state Senator H. L. “Bill” Richardson, a 22-year veteran of the California State Senate and founder of Gun Owners of America and Gun Owners of California, went home to be with the Lord on January 13, 2020. I raised $50,000 for Bill’s first campaign for the California state Senate, more importantly, I found Bill Richardson to live up to his billing as a true conservative.

Peaceful 2A Lobby Day And Rally In Richmond Disappoints Democrats

While the establishment news media played-up claims of “credible” intelligence that “extremist groups” and "white nationalists" planned violence at Monday's Virginia 2A Lobby Day and Rally, the participants told a diferent story. Micheal Mumford, of Richmond (pictured below), attended Monday's peaceful 2A Rally at the Virginia state capitol. and said, “It’s important to let everyone know we’re not a monolith.”

January 20 2A Lobby Day: Join Virginians In Desperate Fight To Save Second Amendment Rights

Virginia gunowners are in a desperate fight to keep their property and to preserve the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. One of the best ways you can help in this fight – even if you do not live in Virginia – is to participate in the Virginia Citizens Defense League-sponsored lobby day at the Virginia State Capitol on January 20, 2020, please read on for details on the day's events.

Virginia Democrats Want You Doped, Dumb And Disarmed

What better way to make the exercise of one’s political duties seem like a tiresome nuisance than to numb the minds of Virginia’s citizenry with drugs? And what better way to strip Virginians of their pre-existing and inalienable rights than to disarm them? Legalizing drugs while confiscating firearms is not about making us safe.  It's about making government safe to do things in the future that an armed and alert populace would never tolerate.

Virginia Now Has Over 100 Second Amendment Sanctuaries

"Right now we're all just hoping that the public outpouring all across the Commonwealth is enough to maybe inform the General Assembly that on these particular issues, their proposed legislation has gone too far," said Tazewell County Board of Supervisors member Charles Stacy. "And if the people deem it to be a violation of their constitutional rights, they're not going to just sit back and take that. They're going to advocate, they're going to fight that as hard as they can."

The Latest Bureaucratic Attack on Gun Rights

Steven Greenhut, The American Spectator

As it now stands in California, if a clerk incorrectly entered your information in the database, you may have no simple means to exercise your Second Amendment rights even at a local store. There is a certain cynicism in the state approach, in that it still allows people to own firearms, but makes it difficult for many of them to get the ammo necessary to use them. It’s hard to see how burdening law-abiding citizens disarms criminals, though. This is just the latest, albeit most noxious, attempt to simply harass law-abiding citizens out of exercising their constitutional rights. We shouldn’t lose our gun rights because the state is too incompetent to maintain accurate databases.

The Logic Of Revolution Unfolds In Virginia

The leaders who will fight to defend our rights are already being forged in Virginia, but it remains to be seen just what that fight will look like. A few years ago the image of thousands of armed citizens surrounding a courthouse to protect a county sheriff about to be arrested by the Virginia State Police would have been unthinkable, tomorrow it could be the lead segment in a TV newscast from Culpeper County, Virginia.

Bloomberg Is No ‘Moderate’ On Abortion, Religious Liberty And Guns

We urge our conservative friends to keep an eye open for Bloomberg appearances, especially in the early Democrat primary states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina and to make a point of reminding voters that on guns, religious liberty and abortion Michael Bloomberg is not a “moderate” but an existential threat to constitutional liberty.

Harriet: A Great Pro-Christian Pro-Gun Movie

If the central message of the film Harriet is Harriet Tubman’s faith and reliance on God to inspire and sustain her fight for freedom, then the visual subtext of the movie is that very often the Lord’s chosen instrument to preserve her life and secure the freedom of her charges was one very large gun.

Florida Conservatives Fight For Second Amendment

Fortunately for Floridians they have a principled limited government constitutional conservative Attorney General, Ashley Moody, to defend their right to keep and bear arms, as protected by the Constitution of the United States.

It’s Conservatives Against Soros And Hollywood In Today’s Virginia Election

Virginia is only 4 seats away from becoming the next New York. We urge every CHQ reader who is eligible to vote in Virginia to go to their polling place and vote today, Tuesday, November 5th. As Morton Blackwell said, everything is on the line for those of us who are conservative in Virginia.

Yesli Vega: This Conservative Hispanic Candidate is Poised to Make a Difference

By Richard A Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
We conservatives have a very attractive candidate as unique as a “purple cow” running for district supervisor in Prince William County, Virginia and she needs your help.  Yesli Vega is the conservative Republican nominee running for Supervisor in the Coles District, and she is a staunch movement conservative that we can all be proud of and get behind.

For Virginia Conservatives It’s All On The Line Tomorrow

Everything is on the line in the Nov. 5th election for those of us who are conservative in Virginia. If the Left gets control of the House of Delegates and the state Senate, they're going to make fundamental changes that are intended to turn Virginia into California.  And the Right to Life and the rights guaranteed by the Second Amendment are at the top of their plans to Californicate the Old Dominion.

When Will The Media Ask Democrats The Hard Questions About Gun Control?

Last night’s Democrat “debate” moderators failed to ask the candidates the really tough questions on guns. The “debate” turned out to be more of an opportunity for them to show their ignorance of guns and firearms law than it was an event where the pros and cons of the candidates’ differences on policy were presented and discussed.

Conservative Leaders Tell Congress No Red Flag Laws

The Conservative leaders of the Conservative Action Project representing over 100 organizations from all elements of the conservative movement have issued a statement expressing their opposition to the enactment of so-called Red Flag laws at the state or federal level. These laws trample on the constitutional rights of Americans. And they do nothing to prevent mass shootings.

Conservatives Ready To Stay Home If Trump Joins Dems On Guns?

We don’t think the President’s advisors necessarily understand what the gun debate is all about from the conservative side. Certainly, part of it is the details of the policy, but the more important part is the breach of trust that abandoning his promise to defend the Second Amendment would entail.
