The Virtuous Can Never Be Guilty

Victor Davis Hanson, National Review

The Steeles, Smolletts, and Dees of the world will continue to con their way to fame and riches while damaging the country — until it no longer pays. And it will no longer pay when we have the collective courage to accurately and matter-of-factly label Steele a pathological liar and fraud; and Smollett for what he is, a racist con artist; and Dees for what he has become, a virtue-signaling grifter; and our elite college system for what it has descended to, a non-meritocratic, cattle-branding operation that fast-tracks its chosen herd into green careerist pastures.

The Conservative Case For Conservatism

Kurt Schlichter, Townhall

How about we do things that benefit Americans, conservative things? How about we demand respect for our rights? That’s a conservative principle. Let’s try that. How about we demand respect for the law, and insist that there be one set of laws that applies to everyone equally? Yeah, that seems like a good conservative goal. In fact, there are a lot of good things about conservatism. Maybe we should focus on making the case for conservatism instead of making the case for always giving liberals what they want.

Media amplified Schiff's voice, shouted down the truth

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

Lying politicians are not the only ones deserving our contempt and scorn. Merchants of lies in the media deserve even more contempt and scorn. The New York Times and The Washington Post led the way. Dunces at CNN and MSNBC trotted right behind. Used to be that reporters took enormous pride in the depth of their skepticism. They would talk about how finely tuned their “BS-detectors” are. They had a nose for when somebody was peddling lies. All that evaporated in the Age of Trump, when anything goes — so long as it slimes the president.

Can the Mueller Report Cure the Media of TDS?

David Catron, The American Spectator

The completion of the Mueller investigation means it’s time to address the tragedy of TDS, to get help for the many journalists, editors, and talking heads who suffer from this debilitating affliction. It has vitiated their judgment and professional reputations, and this has undermined the public’s confidence in the veracity of the media in general. This is not healthy for the republic. Press freedom won’t work if the public believes the media is not telling them the truth. The media must regain the public’s trust by honestly reporting the news, even about President Donald J. Trump.

List of trusted journalistic sources shrinks in post-Mueller report world

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

In today’s world of fire hose information from every direction, the greatest human superpower is the ability to filter out all the dishonest streams of misinformation coming from all the dirty outlets that have lost all credibility. I will never read another story about even baseball in The Washington Post ever again — now that I know just how fully committed they are to distorting every little thing. The New York Times is an even greater disappointment considering the gold standard stature the Gray Lady once held in the constellation of American newspapers.

The End of the Collusion Fantasy

L. Brent Bozell III and Tim Graham, CNS News

A patriotic liberal would set aside personal and political hostilities and celebrate the vindication of his president. We're not seeing this because the loudest of President Trump's detractors — especially in the press — are radicals, not liberals, and they're quite willing to endure existential chaos if that's the price for Trump's removal. These self-righteous leftists who marched under the banner of "objective journalism" while advancing the overthrow of a duly elected president have lost all credibility. They have committed professional suicide.

The Media Have Done Irreparable Damage To The Country

David Harsanyi, The Federalist

Polls show that a majority of Democrats still believe Russians tampered with their votes. The 2016 election wasn’t Pearl Harbor. It isn’t the worst attack on America since 9/11. You have free will. No one determines your vote but you. In truth, Russia didn’t really “meddle” in the election. Russia, as they have always done and always will, tried to meddle in the American election. Trump antagonists, with the help of the media, used fear over Russia to try to reverse the results of a legitimate election. Nothing like this has ever happened in modern American history.

Trump Russia Collusion Treason Was All Just Another Elite Lie

Kurt Schlichter, Townhall

This whole fiasco has convinced Americans that there are two sets of rules in America, one for the elite and one for us, and that the justice system is just a scam designed to help the elite hold onto power by punishing those who would challenge its rule. That’s poison to a free country, which is probably okay with our scuzzy elite since it does not actually want a free country. It wants a happy-face dictatorship, and it wants to do the dictating. So, what next? What do we do?

On collusion, Mueller sent sign after sign, yet some would not see

Byron York, Washington Examiner

Mueller's public actions were public, for all to see. The indictments were public, for all to read. Yes, there was some redacted material, but anyone could see, throughout the entire time, that Mueller never alleged conspiracy or coordination. And yet the media speculation machine remained in high gear the entire time, shifting into overdrive any time there was a new indictment or other Mueller action. They should have been watching more closely all along.

Media pulled off big con with Russia collusion story

Charles Hurt, Washington Times

What a freaking joke all of these people are. They could not get a job cleaning toilets anywhere else in America — and I mean no disrespect to toilet cleaners. My question is this: When are we going to see 500 corrections from all the breathless — and hopelessly false — reporting by The New York Times? Where are the hundreds of corrections from The Washington Post? And what about the days and weeks on end of running corrections on television? The truth is that we will probably never see that. But we should demand it anyway.

Shrill Abortion Plots, Streaming Live

L. Brent Bozell III and Tim Graham, CNS News

Liberals are that strange species that supports abortion on demand. And yet in their strongholds, like the District of Columbia, they hire inspectors to fine restaurants hundreds of dollars for offering their customers plastic straws. Abortion is precisely the nefarious murder of unborn babies, and the Hollywood left can spin like a furious top, saying that it's a priceless and empowering "medical procedure." These are the last people on Earth who should lecture us about how plastic straws might harm sea creatures.

It’s Not Collateral Damage To The Victims Of The Mueller Witch Hunt

Unlike Democrat and Far Left figures, such as Christine Blasey Ford, there is no million-dollar GoFundMe pot of gold at the end of the ordeal for Caputo, Corsi, Papadopoulos, Stone and the rest of those caught up in the hoax that became the Mueller investigation.

Apologies to President Trump

Sharyl Attkisson, The Hill

With the conclusions of special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe now known to a significant degree, it seems apologies are in order. However, judging by the recent past, apologies are not likely forthcoming from the responsible parties. In this context, it matters not whether one is a supporter or a critic of President Trump. Whatever his supposed flaws, the rampant accusations and speculation that shrouded Trump’s presidency, even before it began, ultimately have proven unfounded. “Sorry” hardly seems to be enough. Will anyone be held accountable?

The American Media Destroyed Themselves over the Mueller Investigation

Roger L. Simon, PJ Media

Two years worth of investigation and millions of taxpayer dollars for that, not to mention hamstringing the president of the United States in his activities almost everywhere he went during the same period. Proud of yourselves, David Corn, CNN, John Brennan, MSNBC, Adam Schiff, Washington Post, Don Lemon, Eric Swalwell, New York Times, ABC, CBS, NBC, etc., etc., ad nauseam? Think you saved the republic? Actually, you owe Donald Trump billions. You made out like bandits lying through your teeth about him for two years.

The Cynical Liars Who Started The Mueller Investigation Must Be Punished

Senator Lidsey Graham's investigators should start working their way backwards through the chain of command at the FBI and DOJ to find out who ordered the normal FISA warrant verification and factfinding process to be waived. Only at that point will the real extent of the conspiracy against President Trump be revealed, so that action may begin to punish those who perpetrated it.

These Democrats And #NeverTrumpers Must Apologize To America For The Russia Collusion Hoax

Will these Democrats and their #NeverTrump allies apologize to the country and to President Trump, his family and the innocent people whose lives they rent asunder? Tucker Carlson has said more than once, decent people apologize when they are wrong. As we see it, none of these Democrats and #NeverTrumpers can claim a shred of decency, but we should still demand that they apologize. How Disagreement Became ‘Hate’

Robert Stacy McCain, The American Spectator

Because the Left can’t win in the marketplace of ideas, they are attempting to shut down their critics, to label opponents “fascists” or “white supremacists,” to exercise totalitarian control over public discourse in the same way left-wing professors and student “Antifa” mobs now control university campuses. Tucker Carlson understands this, and his response to the Left’s smear tactics has been to call them out by name and expose them in front of his 3 million viewers. He’s winning, and I’d say this is driving his enemies crazy, but the Left has never been entirely sane.

Every candidate must learn his past is never past

Wesley Pruden, Washington Times

In our present day, no sin or shortcoming is so far in the past that a man is entitled to forget about it. In the age of the Internet, where every burp and hiccup is recorded and archived (why no pundit in his right mind would ever run for anything), a candidate can never be sure that one of those burps and hiccups will return from the past to bring him severe heartburn. The man who would be king (or even president) faces the hard reality that there’s no statute of limitations. In a reasonable world there would be, but none of us lives there.

Every Time Democrats Talk, I Want To Vote For Trump Twice

George S. Bardmesser, The Federalist

Today, every single Democrat I can name is working overtime to make certain that I will pull the lever for Trump again, and with both hands this time. Trump need not worry about locking down my vote––the Democrats are doing all the heavy lifting. Every time the Democrats and their media allies peddle yet another “end of the Trump presidency bombshell,” I laugh hysterically. If I laughed any harder, people would think I was having an epileptic seizure. I can’t even keep track of half the revelations that were supposed to bring Trump to an ignominious end.

We Stand With Tucker Carlson: Never Bow To Leftist Attempts At Censorship

Tucker Carlson is absolutely right, what the Left’s outrage machine is about is power, and controlling what you see, hear and eventually what you think. And the only way to keep that power from them is to never bow to them.
