End The Sweetheart Deal Joe Biden Gave The Chinese Communists

Since 2013, through a sweetheart deal negotiated by then-Vice President Joe Biden, Chinese companies have been allowed to participate in U.S. stock and bond exchanges without having to fully comply with the same Sarbanes-Oxley Act accounting practices and risk disclosure required of American companies. Now the Committee on the Present Danger: China has launched a campaign demanding the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board:cancel the agreement.

Nancy Pelosi's $3 trillion 'coronavirus relief' bill is a leftist boondoggle

Cal Thomas, Washington Times

Whatever the Senate negotiates with the House will certainly add to the previous $2 trillion measure, which didn’t trickle down to some of the neediest individuals and small businesses, but contained horror stories such as checks going to dead people or to multimillion-dollar businesses or millionaires. Anyone curious as to why in March the Gallup poll found public disapproval of Congress at 74 percent (it was 64 percent in April possibly because of the stimulus money) need look no further than the way the professional class operates. They act more in their own self-interest instead of the long-term public good.

Pelosi Redefines Hypocrisy and Destroys #MeToo for… Biden?

Roger L. Simon, The Epoch Times

We need a replacement word for hypocrisy when it reaches the Pelosi level of extreme dissimulation for political ends. But what of the unintended consequences of the hypocrisy-spin-lies (whatever you wish to call it) of Pelosi and others in her party aided and abetted by the media? Some say it has put #MeToo in rigor mortis. But the other unintended victim is something more significant—feminism. We have gone from “Sisterhood is powerful!” to “Screw you, sister!” in a heartbeat, thanks to the first female Speaker of the House. If #MeToo and feminism itself can be thrown over for Joe Biden, then anything’s possible.

Are You Ready To Sue Red China For Your Wuhan Virus Losses?

The toll-free Capitol Switchboard number (1-866-220-0044), we urge CHQ readers and friends to call Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to demand that they schedule hearings and pass the Cotton – Crenshaw bill to immediately end Red China’s sovereign immunity for Wuhan virus claims.

How does Nancy Pelosi get away with blocking desperately needed aid?

Byron York, Washington Examiner

The GOP balked on money for states and local governments. "This was a debate that was largely about nothing," Politico Playbook declared, accurately. The effect of the debate about nothing was to delay help for those millions of small-business owners and employees who needed it while Pelosi played politics and showed off her ice cream stash. The bill, now expanded to nearly $500 billion, passed yesterday. That was April 23, 16 days after the first letter to Capitol Hill. Why did it take 16 days for Congress to pass money for small-business owners that could have been passed in a small fraction of that time? Because Pelosi stopped it. Pure and simple.

As virus rages, leaders keep dodging blame

Byron York, Washington Examiner

What is clear now is that more than a few officials around the country were slow to act. And some of them in high positions -- not as high as President of the United States, but quite powerful -- are reluctant to admit it. Take House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She has said that the president's downplaying of coronavirus has cost American lives. It would be reasonable to argue that this time is no time to discuss blame. But anyone listening to the national conversation knows that horse is long out of the barn. At some point, amid never-ending discussions of President Trump's alleged culpability, the conversation will turn to some prominent Democrats, as well.

Like Marie Antoinette, Princess Pelosi enjoys luxuries but ignores needs of desperate people

Newt Gingrich, Fox News

The Marie Antoinette parallel is a little eerie. A few more luxurious lifestyle appearances by Pelosi, while she’s killing small business, will make the election this fall a referendum on the job-killing, ice cream-eating liberal Democrats. This will be a hard argument for Pelosi and the Democrats to win. Further, in the midst of this crisis of the economy, small business, and unemployment, where is former Vice President Joe Biden? Does he support the job-killing, ice cream-eating liberal Democrats? If he does not, when is he going to speak out? The case is being made for a deep repudiation of an elite Democratic Party that now has total contempt for Americans.

Pelosi uses coronavirus crisis to push tax relief for blue-state millionaires

Editors, Washington Examiner

Speaker Nancy Pelosi is back again trying to exploit the coronavirus crisis. Only this time, it’s to benefit ultrawealthy Californians living in million-dollar homes. Pelosi made clear that she wants to undo SALT (State and Local Tax deductions) retroactively in the chaos of this current crisis. It makes sense why Pelosi and Schumer have a political interest in softening the blow of the burden of living in San Francisco or Manhattan, but removing the SALT deduction cap provides zero relief for the workers hurting the most during this pandemic. Simply put, now is not the time to dress up simple politics as extraordinary relief for the people.

Nancy Pelosi and the Politics Pandemic

Roger L. Simon, The Epoch Times

In our world political hostility seems to overrule everything, obliterating common sense and collegiality in a crisis. In a sense, we have a “politics pandemic” as well as a medical one. The medical one is probably worse, but the political one isn’t terrific and seems to be spreading with rapidity. Also, they work together, reinforcing each other. The political pandemic helps the medical pandemic spread. As for the media, they are, if anything, worse than the politicians. We can keep politics in its proper place and not let it take over every aspect of our lives. That’s something we can learn during the pandemic that will reward us afterwards.

Is The Constitution Worth Dying For?

The Second Amendment, the First Amendment, the Fifth Amendment, the Fourteenth Amendment and the rest of the Constitution are unequivocal and living in a free society involves accepting certain risks. How about instead of using the coronavirus epidemic to suspend the Constitution we all act like responsible citizens, stay home and self-isolate if we are at risk, wash our hands, sanitize common surfaces, such as door knobs and grocery carts, get ourselves checked if we feel ill and keep our liberty.

The Red Chinese Aim To Use The Wuhan Virus To Win Their War Against America

Red China has long aimed to replace the Dollar as the world’s reserve currency and Wall Street and the US sovereign bond market as the world’s economic safe havens. The Wuhan virus may be a natural mutation, or a virus that jumped from an animal to humans, or it may be an escaped bio-weapon, but whatever its origin the Red Chinese aim to take advantage of the havoc wreaked by the COVID-19 epidemic to win their long war against America.

Nancy Pelosi Isn’t Going To Let A Global Pandemic Go To Waste

John Daniel Davidson, The Federalist

Many of the provisions in Pelosi’s bill have no discernable relation to the coronavirus pandemic, much less helping families and small businesses facing economic ruin. There are sections mandating “risk-limiting audits” of election results, early voting, same-day voter registration, mandatory reporting for federal agencies on their use of minority-owned banks, new rules for the retirement plans of community newspapers, and even a section requiring airlines to provide passengers information about greenhouse gas emissions from flights they took. The list goes on, like a parody of Democratic governance. But it’s not a parody, it’s an old Democratic tactic—especially for Pelosi.

Is President Trump’s Optimism About Reopening America Justified?

We agree with President Trump that America should be reopened for business sooner rather than later, but the only way for that to work is for all Americans to act to mitigate the transmission of this new disease to their vulnerable neighbors and family members. Go to 15 Days To Slow The Spread, follow the guidelines, and prepare to discipline yourself to keep following the hygiene guidelines once the lockdown begins to come off.

Pelosi And Schumer’s Plan To Kill The Republican Party And Conservative Movement

By Richard A Viguerie, CHQ Chairman
The election law changes Democrats are demanding as the price of moving President Trump's coronavirus stimulus package must be confronted with unwavering, no-compromise opposition. Make no mistake about it, these election law changes are designed to make sure Republicans never again achieve a congressional majority and that no Republican, and certainly no conservative-populist like Donald Trump, can ever again be elected president.

Democrats Are Playing For All The Chips

Pelosi and Schumer are holding up relief for millions of working Americans, small business employers and essential industries on the premise that Republicans will cave and give them the tools to steal the next election. The Democrats’ desperate gamble that by holding up the coronavirus relief bill they can extort political concessions that will guarantee them victory in the November 2020 election must not be allowed to succeed.

#1 Priority of All Mayors This Week

I appeal to the mayors of our cities to immediately poll every schoolteacher and day care provider, especially those who’ve been serving children under 12, and find out which children are most at-risk for abuse and hunger in their community – and then within the scope of the law, act quickly to rally support and resources to protect/help these children too young to defend themselves.

Businesses Step Up To Soften Economic Blow Of Wuhan Virus

In one of the under-reported stories of the Wuhan virus economic crisis, businesses large and small have stepped up to help soften the economic blow to their employees and a public stressed by the disruption of their everyday lives. From big companies paying workers during the social distancing shutdown to small whiskey and rum distillers switching over to produce and donate hand sanitizer, the private sector has often moved faster than government.

Democrats Trying To Use Coronavirus Funding For Abortions

Under the guise of protecting people, Speaker Pelosi is working to make sure taxpayer dollars are spent covering abortion. Conservatives must be alert to the reality that Democrats and the Left will relentlessly use every vehicle available to advance their agenda, and the coronavirus panic is perfect cover for sneaking all sorts of radical measures through Congress.

Rep. Louie Gohmert Once Again Stands In The Breach

Remember when Democrat Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said of the Obamacare bill, “We have to pass it to know what’s in it”? And remember how well that worked out? On Monday Pelosi was about to one-up that disaster by demanding that the House pass a bill that hadn’t even been written yet. Fortunately, one lone principled limited government constitutional conservative – Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas – stood in the breach to prevent that from happening.
