Sarah Huckabee Sanders

The media hypocrites get their last kicks at Sarah Huckabee Sanders

Michael Goodwin, New York Post

In its story on her leaving, the Times was kinder than most but scolded Sanders for “breaking with decades of tradition” by canceling daily press briefings. To support their arguments, reporters quoted a former Obama press aide. That’s teamwork for you. In fact, the televised briefings became a circus because Jim Acosta and other Washington showboats hijacked them to display their contempt for Trump. The briefings are not missed except by insiders looking for a stage and an easy headline. But Sanders will be missed. She was quick on her feet and gave as good as she got. She was also smart enough not to take herself too seriously. “No one elected me to anything,” she told the Times. “They elected the president.”

Democrats Have Already Started The Second Civil War

The FBI defines domestic terrorism as events that appear intended to "intimidate or coerce a civilian population" or "influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion." If that is not what the Left has been engaged in with increasing ferocity, especially over the past two weeks, then “intimidation and coercion” have lost their meaning.

Not I, said the discriminatory Red Hen

Editors, Washington Examiner

The personal is political, as they say, so the Left cannot accept the argument of the florist and the baker. They cannot accept the distinction between Sanders, a woman who wanted a meal, and Sanders, the spokeswoman whose boss they detest. If the distinction between a person's humanity and her politics is destroyed further, we will find it hard to maintain civic peace. That priceless commodity is already battered and derided.

The Left’s Next Step Is Open Violence Against Conservatives

Unless Democrats and the cultural and political leadership of the Left come out firmly against mob violence this dangerous situation is only going to escalate. A good start would be a congressional censure of Rep. Waters, but unambiguous statements from Left-leaning cultural and media leaders, like The Washington Post, that political violence is not to be tolerated are also needed.
