As parents, students, donors, alumni and alumnae have been horrified to see their colleges and universities wracked by anti-Semitic, pro-Hamas, pro-terrorism riots, a broad coalition of
more than 100 institutions of higher education, including public and private, faith-based, and historically Black colleges and universities yesterday issued a statement standing with Israel, the Palestinians who suffer under Hamas' cruel rule in Gaza and all people of moral conscience.
Rabbi Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University and convener of the coalition, said "The massacre in Israel put a spotlight on campuses and the role university presidents have in articulating the values that higher education represents. There is unparalleled strength in presidents joining together to lay the moral groundwork on which all civil dialogue is naturally based. I am honored to stand with the signatories of this statement who are committed to bringing clarity and truth to these tumultuous times, and protecting our campus communities from violence and hate."
The coalition members have signed onto a clear statement based on core unifying principles – Hamas is a terrorist organization, and the Palestinian people are not represented by Hamas. In fact, they are being harmed by Hamas.
As we can sadly anticipate, this is a crisis that will intensify in the weeks and months ahead. University presidents from around the country are signing on to this coalition, and utilizing the statement as part of their toolbox to help support all of the students on their campuses.
We at CHQ urge our readers and friends to contact the colleges and universities they attended, or that their children attend, to invite the president or chancellor to join the effort. The president or chancellor may indicate support simply by sending an e-mail directly to Contact@UniversitiesUnitedAgainstTerrorism.org.
We suggest that any college or university leader who refuses to sign the letter is signaling that they, and the institution they lead, are either woefully ignorant of the world situation or morally bankrupt in the face of the evil perpetrated by Hamas and may be unworthy of future support.
We Stand Together with Israel Against Hamas
We are horrified and sickened by the brutality and inhumanity of Hamas. Murdering innocent civilians including babies and children, raping women and taking the elderly as hostages are not the actions of political disagreement but the actions of hate and terrorism. The basis of all universities is a pursuit of truth, and it is times like these that require moral clarity. Like the fight against ISIS, the fight against Hamas is a fight against evil. We, the presidents and chancellors of universities, colleges and higher education associations across the United States of America and the world, stand with Israel, with the Palestinians who suffer under Hamas' cruel rule in Gaza and with all people of moral conscience.

Let me be my cynical self for a moment.
Presidents of institutions of higher brainwashin....er, education: Uh, oh...we've gone too far. We won't be able to use other people's money to over-build luxuriant campuses for spoiled woke brats AND we'll have to reduce our marxist LGblahblahblh personnel. The alumni money bags are unhappy.
