As our friend Stephen Moore recently observed, under the Democrats' just-passed "Inflation
Reduction Act" we will have an IRS that will be twice as big, twice as intrusive, and twice as abusive. Congrats to Joe Biden.
In fact, the new IRS will be more than twice the size of the U.S. Army.
And according to research by our friends at OpenTheBooks.com it will have military firepower too.
The auditors at OpenTheBooks.com found that the IRS purchased of tens of millions of dollars in guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment since 2006.
In fact, the IRS has stockpiled 5 million rounds of ammunition and 4,500 guns. For example, their gun locker includes 539 long-barrel rifles, 621 shotguns, and 15 sub-machine guns.
The Internal Revenue Service, with its 2,159 ‘Special Agents,’ spent between $21.3 million on guns, ammunition and military-style equipment between fiscal years 2006 and 2019,” OpenTheBooks.com wrote in a 2021 report.
According to the report, one hundred and three federal agencies outside of the Department of Defense spent $2.7 billion on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment between fiscal years 2006 and 2019 (inflation adjusted). Nearly $1 billion ($944.9 million) was spent between fiscal years 2015 and 2019 alone.
Non-military federal spending on guns and gear averaged $192 million per year since 2006 (inflation adjusted). In the last two years, spending averaged $173 million, about ten-percent below the long-term average.
OpenTheBooks.com estimated that there were then [in 2021] more federal officers with arrest and firearm authority (200,000) than U.S. Marines (182,000).
They found that seventy-six administrative agencies spent $110.6 million on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment between fiscal years 2015 and 2019.
This new Deep State Army includes the Internal Revenue Service, Veterans Affairs, Executive Office of the President, and even the Small Business Administration (SBA), Smithsonian Institution, Social Security Administration, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the Animal Health Inspection Service.
Since 2006, federal agencies spent $4.4 million on grenades/launchers, $7.9 million on drones [unmanned vehicles/aircraft], $8.75 million on projectiles, $11 million on buckshot, and $37.6 million on Tasers.
Twenty-seven traditional law enforcement agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation; Customs and Border Patrol; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Bureau of the Prisons; U.S. Marshals Service; Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms; and Secret Service, spent $800 million on guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment during fiscal years 2015 and 2019.
As reported previously, the Internal Revenue Service, with its 2,159 “Special Agents,” spent $21.3 million on guns, ammunition and military-style equipment between fiscal years 2006 and 2019. The agency stockpiled 4,500 guns and five million rounds of ammunition.
And that was BEFORE the Democrats added 87,000 new recruits to the Deep State Army.
How many of the new 87,000 agents will be armed? And why does a tax collection agency need guns, anyway?
This story gets more sordid as we dig deeper said Stephen Moore. The IRS employee union donates 99% of its money to Democrats. This scam to give the IRS tens of billions of dollars will pipeline millions of dollars into the coffers of Democratic candidates. Does anyone believe that an agency that gives almost every dollar from its PAC to one party is an unbiased referee of our tax system?
We agree with Stephen Moore that what is perhaps worst of all about this vault of money being turned over to 150,000 IRS agents is that Democrats have voted down more money for police to stop rampant crime. They’ve voted down more Border Patrol agents to help keep out drug runners and criminals and coyotes. They refuse to provide the funding for the Army so that our armed forces can recruit the soldiers and personnel we need for our national security.
U.S. Capitol Switchboard is (202) 224-3121. Call your Representative and Senators TODAY and demand that they vote NO on any further purchase of machine guns, grenade launchers and drones by Biden’s Deep State Army.

Well, there is a silver lining to all this. Our underfunded defense department is ill prepared to face off against the combination of China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. So when the Chinese invade the country, we'll have a couple hundred thousand IRS, FBI, ATF, DOE and other alphabet agency gun toters to fend them off. There, doesn't that sound like all is well?
THE CORRUPT FBI AND DOJ PresidentialInsider.com)- Last Monday, Senator Chuck Grassley revealed that FBI whistleblowers have accused the bureau of inaccurately labeling verified evidence against Hunter Biden as “disinformation.” In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI Director Christopher Wray, Grassley, the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, said his office was contacted by both current and former “highly credible whistleblowers” who explained how the FBI tried to discredit the Hunter Biden case by falsely labeling “verified and verifiable derogatory information” about Hunter as “disinformation.” By inaccurately classifying the evidence as “disinformation” the investigation into Hunter Biden’s activities was brought to a halt by FBI officials. In his letter, Grassley writes that if the whistleblowers’ allegations are…
If the firearms were only to arm guards at the gates of installations with 9mm Glocks, it would be reasonable. But grenade launchers and submachine guns? I don't think so.
