The young women and girls of Afghanistan will likely wind up paying the heaviest price of any of the survivors of Joe Biden’s surrender to the Taliban. The fall of the country to the
Taliban will return it to the Middle Ages, just as had been predicted by many skeptics of “nation-building” from the beginning observed Jazz Shaw in a recent article for Hot Air.
Mr. Shaw is right, but the oppression of women outlined in his must-read article is a feature, not a bug, of Islam, Sharia law and its cultural requirements.
But the Democrats’ refusal to recognize that oppression of women is central to Islam should not surprise us – it was promoted and sanctified by Barack Obama himself, who having spent much of his early life in a Muslim country should have known better.
Back in 2015 Biden’s then-boss, Barack Obama gave a speech on Muslim terrorism and “violent extremism” in which he cited “perverted Islam” as the force behind the war Islam has declared on the West.
What Obama said in 2015 has become Gospel to Democrats, especially in the national security and intelligence fields, “Al Qaeda and ISIL do draw, selectively, from the Islamic texts. They do depend upon the misperception around the world that they speak in some fashion for people of the Muslim faith, that Islam is somehow inherently violent, that there is some sort of clash of civilizations.”
Our take on that remark is that it was an attempt to knockdown the growing Western recognition that Islam is at odds with our understanding of the equality of women.
The New York Post, in a Bruce Golding article “Female ISIS captives endure ‘brutal and abnormal’ sex” published on the very day Obama delivered his remarks (February 18, 2015) documented how the supposedly ultra-conservative Muslim fundamentalists have been forcing women in the city of Raqqa to marry them and engage in savage sex acts that result in hospital treatment.
Golding reported that two British human rights groups on the very day of Obama’s speech said ISIS kidnapped at least 3,000 women and girls last year from the areas it controls in Iraq.
Some victims were forced to marry ISIS terrorists, while others were sold into sexual slavery, according to a report by Minority Rights Group International and the Ceasefire Centre for Civilian Rights.
The report said firsthand accounts from victims who spoke secretly by phone in August revealed that ISIS fighters were raping women on a daily basis, with some victims begging the activists to arrange airstrikes on their locations and end their suffering.
Golding reported that one kidnapped girl who belongs to the minority Yazidi religious group said she was among 350 girls transported to Syria and offered for sale “as if in a chicken market.”
Golding’s report from 2015 explains quite clearly the last line in this CBN report from Afghanistan datelined August 18, 2021:
Joe Lonsdale, an Austin, Texas-based entrepreneur tweeted: "An Afghani interpreter I have come to know well over the years was hung in the streets last night. They melted his DoD ID into his chest. Cut off his arms. And killed his family. His 10-year-old daughter was spared and handed off to leadership."
Is this barbarity unique to a “selective” interpretation of Muslim religious texts? Not at all.
The Quran in Sura 4:24 says slave women are sexual property for their male owners: “And forbidden to you are wedded wives of other people except those who have fallen in your hands [as prisoners of war].” (Maududi, vol. 1, p. 319). See also Suras 4:3; 23:5—6; 33:50; 70:22—30, all of which permit male slave owners to have sex with their female slaves. Suras 23:5—6 and 70:22—230 also allow men to have sex with their slaves.*
The lie in Obama’s narrative about the global jihad movement’s alleged “selective” use of religious texts to justify its actions is that sexual slavery and everything that goes with it are not inventions of ISIS, or “violent extremists,” they are right there in the Quran – and in graphic terms that cannot be misunderstood or taken out of context.
As Kyle Shideler pointed out in a must-read article for the Center for Security Policy, refusing to recognize the Taliban’s ideological commitment to imposing a theocratic state produced any number of ludicrous takes from the Washington foreign policy establishment over the years. An example from June 20: “Chief Taliban Negotiator Renews Commitment to Afghan Peace, Women’s Rights.” Of course, what the Taliban negotiator Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar really said was:
We take it on ourselves as a commitment to accommodate all rights of citizens of our country, whether they are male or female, in the light of the rules of the glorious religion of Islam and the noble traditions of the Afghan society.
Jazz Shaw reported some parts of Afghanistan were overrun by the Taliban so quickly that women reported not having time (or in some cases, money) to go shop for a burqa. Some of them reported being severely beaten in the streets for not being “properly” attired when they tried to go shopping for the newly required clothing. Keep in mind that all of this was unfolding after the Taliban had started issuing assurances via their spokespeople, like Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, that they would be respecting the rights of women under “the rules of the glorious religion of Islam” which according to the Quran condemns the women of Afghanistan to slavery.

After hours of delay, Biden finally came before the media and the public today to speak about Afghanistan. If you heard him, you would have heard nothing about the plight of women or even about Americans who are having difficulty getting to the airport. He would have us believe that we have gotten 75,000 Americans and Afghans out of Kabul and that everybody will be out by August 31st. Everything is going well according to Biden and he has been in consultation with our allies who agree that all is good. Except, they don't agree and everything is not going well. I'm not even convinced that the 75,000 number is good. We are doing nothing to draw in the …
I was not surprised Biden punked out in Afghanistan like this. He is cognitively challenged, was never good on foreign affairs (remember Iraq?), and is surrounded by leftist idiots like Austin and Milley. And he is catering to the far-left wing of his party.
Women are nothing but sex toys to pedo Joe so this is no surprise.
The -rat party opens yet another front in the War on Women. It's not bad enough they've taken Title IX and deep-sixed it, along with generations of girls who now have to compete with screwed-up boys for scholarships. Now, the -rats are actually responsible for rape and murder of women and girls...Where are the MeToo-ers. Hey, big mouths McGowan and Milano...WTF?...
BIDEN BEHAVIOR BUNGLES, FOX news is right. the family especially his wife, had to know his mind was slipping, shows how power hungry they are, to allow a unfit mentally person run for President. It's not called the Biden crime family for nothing, Where are the doctors report's to sign off ?, that this person is mentally fit to serve? The left will pay a big price for election tampering and allowing this person to continue in office. The Country is already paying a big price, look at our southern invasion of drug lords and virus infected illegals. now look at our allies and what they are saying, kooks what's happening with stranded American citizens. Biden's poor judgement, Biden mis…
